KidKraft Deluxe Wooden Easel with Chalkboard and Dry Erase Surfaces, Paper Roll and Paint Cups - White, Gift for Ages 3+

First things first: I have bought this item, kept it for couple days and I am shipping it back. So before making your shopping decision here is what you need to know: Pros: Absolutely beautifully constructed. Solid and sturdy Very nice architecture of the item in person It looks more beautiful then in the picture The green chalk board side is nice color The white side is as big as the chalk board side Comes with paper roll you can skip installing the bottom shelf and the side shelves if you choose so (I did not want the bottom shelf and the side of the white board shelves as I wanted it to be easily foldable and to take less space, I could do that easily) The chalk shelve can be lifted up for storage so it takes up less space. You can fold it nicely altogether so it does not take up much space at all. Legs are edjsutable. YOu can easily respoition screw on each leg to make it longer o shorted and it is quite a great deal of length that you can reduce or add that way. Cons - What made me to return the item and what I believe the distributor should look into: The product has a profound chemical smell upon arrival that reminds me of a pesticide section of a Home Depot store. At first it was mostly smell of paint, and.. possibly a Styrofoam that it came heavily padded with. Then the smell of paint went away but the other did not, I could not stand next to It without my eyes and skin itching, the same with my child. It was obvious that that smell won't go away anytime soon and I was even wondering if it is safe for a child. I did not attempt to rinse it or wipe as my experience with other children furniture told me that it is futile. Once something has this kind of smell, it won't go away. I don't want to give this product bad reviews only because I believe it is an amazing and beautiful easel and there are none like this on the market now as I searched low and high and that was IT. I was so full of hope for this and I am sure that scores of parents would enjoy this product as it is very practical and not an eye sore in your home. However the smell thing should be addressed. I will be happy to remove my review if I see that others reported that this item is no more smelling as I hope that the distributor will look into the issue and request adequate changes with the manufacturer as this should be looked into and checked as this is a child product and should not be taken lightly. We care what goes into our children's products and we do trust the name of the brand. Please keep up with the demand for safety.

Sent it as a gift and was informed by the father that it was easy to assemble and incredibly well made. He told me they had also selected a KidKraft doll house for the same reasons. Children should learn to draw and paint on an easel right from the beginning. The problem is easels for kids are usually not stable. This one is! Even though the recipient is only two, she is tall for her age and already loves working at the easel. It is also not an ugly plastic eyesore. Highly recommend it.

Only rave reviews here. Adorable, well-designed, well-constructed, easy assembly and no missing parts. Exactly what we were looking for, for our 2-yr old granddaughter. Legs are adjustable so it can "grow" with her for years to come. Thank you Kidcraft for caring about producing a quality product when so many only care about profit and selling us JUNK.

Terrible quality and packaging. Packaging may be partly responsible for some of the damage. Arrived in a box with not enough styrofoam and the cheapest kind so it also left a terrible mess of styrofoam dust everywhere and all pieces had to be wiped down. Found the cups seated together and one is cracked. This also made it difficult to get them apart. Several pieces were cracked and so the trays they are part of are not sturdy at all. One of the edges falls off every time you move it because it does not sit properly in the channel carved for it. There is also a blemish spot on the whiteboard side that is rough textured and after we used it for the first time the dry erase marker in that spot will not come off. Buy something else this costs way too much to be this cheap and crappy. I wish I’d purchased a simple cheap wooden one for half the price. Thought the Kidkraft brand meant it would be quality material but it’s super frickin cheap. I doubt this will last even year.

We ordered this as a Christmas gift for our 3 year-old twin granddaughters. It is very well constructed, nice looking and sturdy. I love the bottom shelf for storing markers, chalk, erasers, etc. Our granddaughters like to paint the most so the only complaint or issue I have is that there are only two holes to set the round plastic paint containers in. There is room on the shelf to set more, but the holes give added stability to the paint containers so they don't tip over. Otherwise, I would have given it five stars. Also, when the easel arrived the two plastic paint containers that came with it were completely shattered. I called Amazon and have never been more pleased with the results! I explained that the easel was already assembled and the paint cups were broken. To resolve the issue, Amazon issued a "promotional certificate" in the amount of $7.99 to purchase a set of paint containers. The best thing was this was a set of four, so they were actually giving me two more at no cost to me. I was extremely pleased as I shop frequently with Amazon and will definitely continue to do so!

Love this product! Wonderfully made! I have a 2 year old daughter who is a little taller that average and this is a perfect height! And it will grow with her as she does! It's beautiful and very well made, it was so easy to put together (which we all know is a huge plus). The chalk board on the opposite side is awesome as well, and I love how it has a roll of paper on the top and is easily replaced. Bonus storage shelf underneath for crayons, paints and cup/paint holders build in. Long term great buy for a artisty kids

I purchased this KidKraft Easel for my 4 year old toddler to encourage learning to write and art projects. The easel itself was easy to assemble, and sturdy. It comes with a roll of paper, an eraser, and two cups for paint. The easel can easily be broken down in size to be tucked away when necessary. Overall, I have had no issues with the easel and would recommend it!
