JR: Can Art Change the World? Hardcover – October 12, 2015

After seeing the film about JR, I had to order this book. With so much conflict in the world, this artist, having found a camera left in the train, goes on to bring people on different sides together in the most amazing way!

Incredible book. This is one that must be read. Don’t just look at the images. Read the commentary. It adds a lot. JR’s images themselves are incredibly powerful. This book would be worth it even at twice the price.

I bought this book after seeing a documentary about the artist and his international site work: wanted to continue to learn about him, and have a great resource with great photos of his work. Book is terrific, and the service from the seller was really good: came quickly, was carefully wrapped, book in perfect condition.

This is a comprehensive look at JR's work up to 2015, which covers many impressive works. What a treasure.

Spectacular

This book covers much of the same material as the recent documentary, “Paper and Glue.” In essence, the book follows gifted French artist, JR, who specializes in larger-than-life photos of actual, regular people. JR and his talented team visit such places as the Mexican border and the slums of Rio, where they enlist the locals in ingenious art projects.Simply stated, both the book and the film are inspirational, heart-warming, life-enhancing works. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Davvero un libro interessante

A brilliant collection of JR's best photography and art pieces. It certainly proves its title right-art CAN change the world and it's wonderful to see artists with an involvement like this with their subjects and the people they meet. Definitely recommend for anyone who is interested In photography :)
