Works great!
The media could not be loaded. I have a small ~700 gallon Koi pond with a waterfall. The pong is about 4' deep. I've struggled for years with brown or green water that made it difficult to see the fish. My home grown filter was also a major pain to clean. I decided to purchase a "VIVOHOME Pressurized Biological Pond Filter, 1840GPH" filter along with a "VIVOHOME Electric 120W 2700GPH" pump and 20' of 1" flexible tubing.Setting up the filter and pump were straight forward and easy. Below are my observations about performance:After 24 hours I noticed a remarkable improvement. The water was a lighter shade or brown/green and I could see fish shapes about 6" deep. After 48 hours the water was light brown in color and I could see fish about 12" deep. After 72 hours the water was slightly brown but I could see about 4' down. As I write this, the filter has been running 96 hours. The water is crystal clear and I can see the bottom of the pond clearly and I'm completely satisfied with the filter and pump combination. When setting up the pond I located the pump at the far end of the pond and away from the water fall and placed it on a plant shelf about 12-14" deep. I located the pump here to improve water circulation and also to keep the pump out of the muck that accumulates on the bottom of the pool. The pump is pushing water through 20' of one inch tubing. The water fall flow is more than adequate, but if I had to do it over again I would have used 1 1/4" tubing for increased flow.I'm happy with my purchase. The filter is easy to clean and mess free, which was not the case with my old home grown filter. I should have done this years ago. I hope this review is helpful. Best wishes.

Fantastic filter - cleaned up my goldfish pond overnight!
The media could not be loaded. The house I bought last year has a smallish (600 gallon) goldfish pond. The previous owners had installed an in-pond filter, which could not keep up with string algae. So I replaced the in-pond filter with the Vivohome 1580 GPH filter. I use a to push water into the filter. The filter's output is connected to a PVC manifold with 4 outlets that serves as a waterfall to aerate the pond. I hid the manifold with a few large smooth river pebbles.Because my pond is smaller in size, the combination of the pump and filter subject the water in the pond to two rounds of filtration every hour. The pond was crystal clear within 12 hours, and has stayed that way.I recommend this highly - works really well to keep a pond clean!P.S. The waste discharge from the filter works really well as plant food for knockout roses.

Pea soup to gin in two weeks
I'm not one to write reviews or post any ratings, but I felt compelled to do so for this product. My 650 gallon pond has three decent sized koi in them. Over the past year the pond turned into a green swamp with no other remedies seemingly working. With a bit of skepticism, I decided to purchase the 1580 GPH 13 watt model as a last-ditch effort to clear the pond. I hooked it up to my existing 2000 gph pump and had it constantly running. For the first few days there was no observable difference. Then over the next several days, significant daily improvements to the clarity of pond were noticed. After two weeks, the pond has become and has since remained gin-clear. I also like the fact that it's an all-in-one uv clarifier and particle filter (with a convenient cleaning crank), and it has bio balls on the bottom. I think it's a product well worth its price. I've only had it for over a month now, but I haven't had any mechanical issues with the filter yet, which is actually saying something these days unfortunately.I highly recommend this product if you're in a similar situation as I was. Just be patient, let it run constantly and it'll work.

Use a GFCI outlet!
First I would like to say that this is a great filter. It is overkill for my 125 gal fish pond, but it has done an excellent job of keeping things clean and healthy for my fish. Please please make sure you have this attached to a GFCI outlet. I did (which you should always do for electronics near water) and I am very glad I did. The filter lasted a year and a half before a seal at the top failed and water filled up the tube holding the UV light and transformer. The UV light had disintegrated inside and it continuously tripped the GFCI.Might want to take apart the top once in awhile to ensure there are no leaks. Definitely use a GFCI. Would I get another one? Yes. This time I will check the seals on the electronics.

So far, this device is completely non-functional - UPDATED
We received our pump this weekend and set it up immediately. The instructions are essentially non-existent but if you are familiar with pumps its not too complicated. If you are not familiar with pumps, buy elsewhere. We plugged it in and nothing. We are currently working under the assumption that it is DOA but not having much success with support so far (we are in contact via email). Additionally, there does not appear to be any supporting information for this unit. Example: There are bio-balls in the base of the unit. If you are unsure what those are, you will stay that way as the only thing mentioned about them is their name. It does not come with hoses or clamps so make sure you order them as well. There are no setup instructions but there are reasonably well defined care instructions so if you can get it running properly, you should be able to care for it. I will update this review as things develop but so far I wouldn't recommend this device.UPDATE: Added a star because the VivoHome support department has agreed to replace the device. More info to come once the replacement arrives.UPDATE2: Back down to 1 star. New device doesn't work either. There is no activity when powering on. Support has no ideas but to replace the pump again but I don't want a house full of trash pumps. There are no online resources and no actual support. Buying a better product.

my go to pond filter!
Crystal clear water, easy to maintain and clean filter. I flush my pump 1 or 2 times a week... takes me 3-4 mins, no need to dismantle... just switch the outlet to clean, rotate the handle a few dozen times and wait till the water runs clean... the uv light works great to keep the algae down. I've got one of these in each of my ponds, both heavily stocked and my water is clean and clear.

Finally a clear pond!
After many years of trying to obtain a clear pond, it’s finally clear!Every year we’ve tried all sorts of “magic solutions” to get your pond clear, and every year we fail miserably. This year we did our research and this seemed to be our best option for our gold fish pond that wasn’t $1000+.It has far surpassed all our expectations and is crazy easy to use!Had to plant some fern in front of it so it wasn’t an eye sore, but a couple months in and you can’t even see the filter anymore. If you’re like us and want that dream pond where you can actually see your fish in the hot summer sun, this is fantastic! We read the description and were fully aware we required a pump that wasn’t included.Amazing price and amazing product!
