Good and sturdy!

Purchased the 6.6 ft kit, received the 6 ft kit. Found this out after drilling holes in my wall... The hardware itself seems like pretty good quality. I have already installed hardware on the door and would really like to avoid having to take it all apart and return the entire package when I just need the 6.6 ft rail and not the 6 ft rail that was delivered. This set is very well thought out and complete. All parts are nicely manufactured matte black metal construction. This is NOT lightweight aluminium, I suspect its steel but I'm not a metallurgist. All parts fit together very well and seem exceedingly durable.The center point where you join the 2 short bars to make a long one fits very well! In our unit there was zero slop and infact had to use a block of wood and hammer to drive the two pieces together smoothly as it was a wonderful "press" fit.The one negative area, and the reason for only 4 stars, is the instructions. While all the information is there, it's not in a clearly explained way so you have to read between the lines and do some calculations/educated guesses.Overall I'm confident that if the house were to burn down the track kit would still be 100% usable lol.I will definitely be buying another of these to use on the other doorway in our hallway.

Out of the way barndoor

I have this Jerry rigged on a caster base with a bookshelf behind it. It is set up as a hidden door into my bar area at home. I have only had it a Few weeks, but loaded up the bookshelf has over 1k lbs on it. The tracks are basically a guide and it weight is supported via the casters. I was surprised.with the quality of this for the money compared to Lowe’s kits costing near double the price in their stores.

This kit certainly got the job done. I did mount a board to the wall first, as I found my studs had an unconventional spacing. I also made my own barn door which was a bit heavy. I was concerned with the sturdiness, but once I mounted the rail to the wall, it was clearly strong enough.Con: I ordered the 6 foot rail, which came in two pieces. The connection point of the two rails is a sort of dovetail looking male and female puzzle. This was a bit hard to fit together. I squeezed it in with c-clamps. Still feels structurally fine BUT the wheels bump over the seam. I'd prefer the rail in one piece.

The item was packaged well and so far I am pleased with the purchase. The materials are top grade steel and were easy to work with on the installation. I will be buying more of this product in the future as I continue to rehab my home and install barn doors throughout. Also, this product is priced well below many of similar products on the market so you are getting a quality product at a great price.
