Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I have been burned in the past by other magnetic connectors, but was pleasantly surprised by the Upmely. The magnet is strong enough to where it finds the connectors the vast majority of the time. Has a strong enough hold to where I can move my phone around and it stays connected delivering power.To help see what I mean by the magnets strength, I added a video to show how well its working for me.

They replaced it once and lasted one time and then I gave up. Never charges and the usb-c cable falls out of the magnetic adapter. I am using the apple factory connecter. They say I will receive another one so with this hopefully updated model I will have success.They have always responded promptly so I will update when the new one is tested. I give them 5 stars for service so far.Update again. Pulling the 5 stars for service. They never sent me a replacement as they said they would. So I would say be aware that this adapter may not stay plugged in at the Usb-c connection.

I was really hoping this magnetic adapter would work out, but it didn’t. The charge time was the same as without using the adapter, meaning no power degradation. The material was good for the price point, it was metal and not plastic. Those were the positives.The problem I have and why I am returning is the the clip sticks out so much from the laptop (see picture), it’s very tight and doesn’t go in any further, and the adapter part that connects to the cable has a loose fit. It will fall off over time.

While the magnet appears strong, it doesn't always establish a proper connection on the first try. Wiggling it usually works. And the fact that it wiggles presents an additional problem: If you plan to use your laptop anywhere but on a desk, you will constantly struggle to ensure the connection is secure. It needs a stronger magnet and a better design.

Wanted to use it for my MacBook power supply. However, if it gets bumped even the tiniest bit, it either disconnects or get ajar and stops charging.

I leave the pin end in the usb type c hub and the other end on my charger. You bring it close and it snaps magnetically into charging . The 90 degree bend is useful to bend wires. It’s easy to use , there is a indication light
