I actually took some time to pull up this item, which I had ordered some time ago, so I could do a review. I rarely do reviews.We used to have a large piece of property and I spent my summers dragging heavy rubber hoses from one place to another. I eventually bought a dozen hoses, connected them to our faucets and each other, buried them in our pachysandra, and turned on my jury-rigged sprinkler system whenever my plants needed water. At least that way I didn't have to drag 50 pounds of hose around the yard.When these new hoses came out a few years ago, a number of individuals I knew had a few of the new models but they didn't last long and the owners didn't like them -- especially when they broke! So I kept my system as it was. But then we moved and I left all those hoses behind. The pachysandra would not let them go.So now that I am in a smaller house and much older, I took a chance on this hose because I could not drag those rubber things around any more.While I have no idea how long this hose will last, its light weight was a shock! And when I turned it on, it worked as promised. IT'S GREAT. It expands as the water pressure builds. Contracts when the water is turned off.The attached spray nozzle seems to be well-made and should last as long as others I've had. It ranks up with the best of them and works better than many.The only thing is:Be prepared for the hose to behave and look just like a big black snake as it decompresses! Almost scary.BUT A GREAT BUY!

This is my first expandable hose. It stretches pretty easy all the way to its rated 50 feet mark. The ends are heavy metal units which are excellent to use. The included sprayer works great and also has a quality feel. Water goes through and sprays as expected. Seems to be a nice quality hose.

Stunningly good hose. I didn’t realize how terrible ordinary hoses are until using this. My yard has 3 old style hoses littered around, they are all 50ft, weigh a ton, kink regularly (even the heavy duty newer ones) and have dedicated metal hose reels that never work well. This new one shrinks to something super small and light. Once done you let a dry for a bit then toss it into a little bag for storage. You don’t leave it out under the sun day in and day out because it’s just so easy to toss in bag. Once it fills with water it turns into a really sturdy feeling hose- kinda crazy. The fittings are really high quality so Don’t leak at connections. Also love the shutoff valve at the head!

Bought the 17 foot that expands to 50 foot. Like the lightweight and flexibility of the hose. Spray nozzle is good so far. Only complaint is the hose will not expand to 50 feet if your water pressure is not at least 50 PSI. We have our own well with a 20/40 pressure system. With the max pressure we have the hose only expands to around 38 feet and as soon as you start using the hose it shrinks to less than that. If we had city water pressure which is pretty constant and doesn't fluctuate much I think this hose would be great.

This hose appears to be well built. I really like the connectors, and they supplied a spray nozzle that I was not expecting. It's light, stretches out well, and is a blast to watch as it shrinks back to it's small size when I'm done using it.All I've ever heard about these types of hoses are that they blow up/split/crack/fail/etc. I no longer care. I'm getting another one for the front of the house. If either breaks, I'm replacing it with another one.Yeah, it's that good. No more dragging heavy hoses around, trying to un-kink them, trying to re-coil them onto a hose holder.Thanks!

I've owned a couple other so-called expandable hoses, but never had one that met the expectations made by the seller. None of these truly expanded and then retracted to its original size. Not to worry...this hose is absolutely the greatest garden tool sense the hoe and shovel. According to the claims, it stretches to 50 feet and then nicely retracts to 15 or so feet. The quality of the material can't be beat. Its very strong and durable and the brass fittings are unbelievable and the supplied sprayer is a nice addition of great quality. You can't go wrong with this purchase!

I bought this to use to water my backyard grow bag veggie and herb garden. I don't have a lot of space, so rolling up a heavy garden hose was too much for me, and I got sick of looking at it on the patio. I bought this hose mainly for ease of use (lightweight) and aesthetics (much easier to hide).It extends easily when I need the length and automatically shrinks down when I let all the water out. I love this thing!!!I don't have any comment on the sprayer as I put a watering wand on it immediately.

I’ve never had a hose like this before, so I was a little skeptical when my husband picked it out. We were pretty sick of the way the old type of hoses kink and affect water pressure and it’s always a pain to wind up when putting them away, even with devices you buy to make it easier. This hose solves both of those issues. I don’t think I’ll ever want the old-school water hose again.
