I have tried several different products over the years offering high quality, natural ingredients. This grain is the best. My hens love it and there is so little waste. Although it is a little pricey, I think it is worth the extra cost.

I soak it in water 3 days before giving it to the chickens just to make better use of the dusty formula as well as make the whole corn and lentils digestible. They love it wet or dry and did not want pellet feed after having this.

My chickens seem happy and healthy although they do leave a bit of the mash. I'm thinking about mixing the bit they leave over in their yogurt and other wet treats. It is a mash, so.

I can't tell you if this tastes good or really anything else except my chickens eat it. I appreciate the non-gmo, non processed (just ground up) ingredintes of this feed. the chickens eat it and are happy.

I have a small flock of chickens and a partner with a wheat allergy. It was impossible to find wheat free food for them. I was about to make my own mix which would have been a pain. Thankfully I found this! All my chickens layed a good sized egg everyday and the yolks were a light orange, not the pale yellow of a lot of grocery store eggs. The bag was well sealed and never noticed any issues with the feed seeming old. Shipping was quick. Definitely a good option for wheat free chicken food! I assume a good balanced diet by how well my girls layed eggs this year

I was very disappointed in this product. I gave the company two opportunities to provide what the image shows, but you can see from my picture (first image), what you get does not look like the ad picture (second image). The product is very powdery (see video) and does not include the whole grains pictured. It's very dusty. Those of you from the country will remember the ground feed made on the farm, called chop. That's what this is. Not what I expected, based on the image and cost. Very unhappy.

Chickens love this food and I love the ingredients!

Our chickens absolutely love this feed and are thriving on it. Not to mention it is a huge help for me as a Celiac, I can feed the chickens and not worry about cross contamination. Please keep making it, New Country Organics is the only company offering a wheat/barley/rye free chicken food!
