Cuts well, but very very Chinese
I bought one of these to help me cut multiple layers of fabric faster (I make cloth diapers). I am able to cut 10 layers of cotton birdseye without any problem, so that's great. Heaven help me though, should this cutter ever malfunction. The one page of instructions are in terrible "Engrish", full of misspellings, including some words that are completely unintelligible. The parts diagram is all in Chinese.Functionality-wise, it cuts well. It's not too loud, and doesn't vibrate your hand too much. One thing I don't like, is there's no safety lock. (Maybe there is, but again, the parts are named in Chinese only). To turn it on, all you do is squeeze a big button on the bottom of the cutter. It's hard to pick up the cutter without squeezing the button. Also, the power cord it a little bit too short. My outlet is RIGHT next to my cutting table, but I am unable to cut across a 45" width of fabric all the way. I am going to need an extension cord. This thing seems a bit overpriced to me....for a cheap Chinese thing with basically no instructions or safety features, $85 seems a bit steep.

It would not cut through fabric after just a few minutes. Small threads were enough to cause the blade to stop cutting. It was returned and refunded smoothly though.

Cut well but burned up fast
Bought this fabric cutter to cut fabric for my bag manufacturing company. The design is great, as the on/off switch is on the red body of the machine, you can easily pick it up, depress the switch and start cutting with one hand. The rotating octogonal blade does very well at cutting material. We used it to cut multiple layers of 1000 denier cordura nylon fabric. It would bog down with more than 4 layers, and wouldn't cut 6 or more. My only gripe is that the machine lost power relatively quickly. After about 16 hours (two shifts) of cutting fabric, the motor had burned up and lost all power. Buy it if you only do a little cutting. Buy a larger machine if you cut a lot.
