Used to make a lanyard for my vape. Works great for that lol but the way it came as a badge retractable lanyard looks like it would be perfect if using for that purpose too. All parts came, good quality , hangs in the perfect spot , came fast .

Solid chain and very pretty! Been wearing it since I bought it and it has not turned color and still holding strong.

I've had this for a few months now. Zero issues and I get lots of compliments on it. Definitely recommend.

As a receptionist over executive suites, I wore this lanyard for about three months before the thin silver plating on the reel wore away and the coppery metal underneath started to show. The lanyard likely would have lasted far longer had I not used the keys innumerable times every day to unlock mailboxes, offices, drawers, safe boxes, etc. The necklace part of the lanyard was great but ultimately broke when I caught it on a doorknob while opening a heavy door. I planned to repair it but never got around to it before I left the job.I loved the construction and the length of the lanyard, which made it so I needed only to bend a smidge to stretch out the retractable part to unlock doors while keeping the lanyard on. I'm 5'11", so I'd imagine someone shorter wouldn't have to bend at all to reach it. The stretchy reel part seemed to be a few inches shorter as compared with other lanyard reels I've owned, which again, wouldn't have been a problem if I'd been a couple of inches shorter.Another consideration was that I had long hair that I wore down at the time, and I had to be very careful when removing the lanyard so that it didn't get caught in my hair, although I'm sure that still would have been an issue had I worn a different lanyard with a necklace chain.All this said, the design is very fashionable and professional, which I loved, and it looks like a pretty necklace rather than a junky lanyard, which was exactly what I was replacing at the time. It's also a unique design, and I loved that the thicker rope chain did stand up to wear.Overall, while I do wish the silvery plating were thicker and the reel longer, I am still happy with the price I paid, and I would have purchased additional lanyards had I stayed at the job. Know this going into it, and you'll be happy! For the price, it's a steal. If you unlock doors a zillion times a day, buy a few and plan to replace every few months or so, or consider buying a silver retractable reel to replace the current one once the silver plating wears off. The necklace part itself never wore thin, so I could have attached a new reel without noticing a difference.Despite its flaws, I definitely recommend this lanyard. :)

This was such an awesome purchase. The retractable line is very strong. It was put to the test when I caught my ID badge on a door knob, and it pulled its limit and did not break. I was very impressed. I’ll probably buy a few more.

This lanyard is junk. I’ve bought two because the first one broke but I like the look of it. Second one also broke.

It's long enough to reach the scanners with ease. Both the necklace and the retractable piece. It's a strong, beautiful chain. It survives me swirling my badge and saying "weeeeeee" several times a day for weeks. So I'd say the retractable mechanism is strong too.The only thing I wish is that the mechanism was the same on both sides. No matter how much care I put into directing the smooth side out, it ends up switched/rotated. Not a big deal since it's not decorated, but still annoys me. 🙄 I wish there was a decorated option too.
