10AWG wire, fire hazard for 50amp recepticle
NEMA 14-50 can have up to 50 amps at 240 flowing through it. According to electrical code you need 6AWG wire or thicker (lower number is thicker). This 10AWG wire should not be used with more than 30AMPs. Especially with something like a car charge that has consistent load for many many hours.
