Biddeford has huge quality control problems.This mattress pad barley heated some areas of the pad & didn't heat other ares at all.One of the controllers turns off after 10min.The controllers I received are not the ones pictured.I am returning the pad.I would ask for a replacement but after my experience and those of many others, I have no confidence that Biddeford has the ability to provide me with working pad and that it will reliably continue to work in to the future.Buying from Biddeford is the same as flipping a coin. You may win or you may loose but the odds are heavily weighted on the loose side.It's a real shame that US companies can't make decent products anymore. We used to be the best in the world.

This does just what I want it to. BUT the control is not the one pictured. My mom had this in her guest room and I liked it. That is why I bought it. The control that I received emits a great deal of light. You could practically use it for a night light, which is not what you need at your bedside. I put a couple of post it notes over the front and have learned to live with it. I had an E on the control at one point, but through research found out that it was an error code that meant the plug was coming loose from the warmer.

Had an older version of this, used it for YEARS and loved it but one of the controllers finally died. Figured it was probably time to get a new pad so chucked the old, ordered the new and waited for the NE weather to get cool. Finally put this new one on the bed and had a glorious warm night's sleep. Turned it on for the next chilly night - nothing. Little red dot shows but that's it. Switched the controllers - nothing. Plugged into different outlets - nothing. I should've just replaced the controller. I could've spent my money elsewhere and gotten more warm night's sleep than I did with this POS.

The plugs are better located, set of to the side of where your feet lie; no more chunky plug under foot, which is great. The Biddeford doesn't seem to warm as much as my old Sealy (with the same style controller) did: where the old Sealy was perfect at 5 or 6, the Biddeford needs to be set to 8 before I can even tell it's on.That said, it does fit rather nicely with enough fabric to go completely round your mattress and plug ends seem better designed on this newer version of the controllers.Another con: within a few days of installing it, I saw the exact same item in a local store for a MUCH better price. Drat to that.

I had purchased one of these a few years ago and was very pleased. This latest version is inferior quality, unfortunately. I can easily feel the wires through the thin matting material - even when I put an extra sheet over it, under my fitted mattress sheet on top. Doesn't seem to heat as strongly either. Disappointed. I travel regularly to parts of Europe where heated mattress pads are used widely, and of all the ones I have experience with, this is the worst.

This is nice since each side has its own power and circuit so if one side breaks other side is still good, unlike my old one that had one broken side and with one power source, I had to dispose. One small issue is, the plug in for the cord is at the side near the end, this would be better if the cord was and the end not near end as when I lay, I can feel the hard cord on my feet.

We had a Biddeford heated mattress pads for about five years and it no longer worked, so we decided to replace it. The new one didn't work. One side worked fine, and the other would only stay on a few minutes and then would display 'E' for error. We returned it, and ordered a replacement from Amazon. The second one didn't work at all. Neither side would heat up. Two brand new heated mattress pads defective right out of the box. Amazon rocks it with customer service and easy returns, but very disappointed with the defective merchandise. We won't try this brand again.
