A great daily supplement to my math program that reinforces standards from the year before.
I am a second year homeschooler and love this book. I was looking for something that I could use to start my math lesson with, that would serve as a review for 5th grade skills, as well as build into what he is learning this year. It's a great supplement to my core math program. There is also a great chart that you can use to keep track which answers are wrong and what standard they align with so that you can go back and reinforce that particular standard if you need to. It only takes approx. ten minutes to complete, so he isn't overwhelmed with a lot of problems at the start of math.

Good practice
We use this series for homeschool daily practice. There are no instructions/lessons. It is a skill practice workbook. We like it.

Complaining is virtually nonexistent and new concepts seem to come easily to her
This has saved us for math practice. My daughter was getting seriously bogged down with the drill and kill type of math worksheets. She loves this. Complaining is virtually nonexistent and new concepts seem to come easily to her. She is even more apt to challenge herself with everyday math since switching to this. We homeschool and thoroughly recommend this for math practice. If only I had found this years ago!

Could be better.
The book overall is great but if you are using it for homeschooling you definitely need to oay attention to the online resources and even then it can be difficult if you don't have internet access at the time.

Great daily practice, individual work, or "homework"
Love the 180 workbooks. Use as a daily quick practice and getting focused for homeschool. Covers variety of different topics everyday and gets harder as the year goes on, as it should. Sometimes a topic pops up before we've covered it, but gives him a chance to try and see if he can figure it out. Really love it.

Students of varied/splintered skills? Great tool for teachers and homeschoolers.
We are part of a Family School, with students of various ages and abilities. This is a nice tool for spotting who needs reteaching, and in what areas, for individual help. Also, it's a nice bell ringer, to settle in and warm up for further work. A good mix of skills on each page, without being overwhelming, so the students aren't intimidated or overwhelmed. The teacher, students and parents find it helpful.

A page for every day
I bought this for my daughter as she's constantly begging me to print her out math worksheets because she loves math so much. She loves that it has a page for every day and starts at the basics. She's gotten a lot of use out of it already.

Practice drills for testing
Unlike other 180 Days of books, this is not for learning math. This book is solely practice drills for standardized testing. The math problems are random and not organized in any way, much like what you find on final exams. It is neither “cool” nor “fun” as the title claims, and it certainly does not offer “ways to explore” math as it states in the description. It would be good for summer break practice or if you’re drilling for the big tests (which… *cough* *cough* …ugh), but not for your actual school year curriculum.
