In the olden days, everyone used Comet to clean sinks and tubs. However, after a few years, the porcelain finish and faucets became scratched and dulled. Fast forward to 1974 and Soft scrub was invented. Instead of silica (hardness 7), it contained calcium and or fluorite (hardness 4 & 3) grains. It turns out that these were as effective as silica in scrubbing soap scum and water stains off fixtures. Over time the formulation was tweaked to improve cleaning formula and contain additives that kill germs or remove stubborn stains. This formula with bleach will remove coffee and tomato sauce stains with just a little soaking. I couldn't live without it. Very highly recommended.I do miss the gel formula..... wish they had not discontinued it.

I’ve been trying to get rid of black mold at the base of my sliding shower doors. Tried bleach, vinegar, baking soda, scrub bubbles, all sorts of bathroom spray. Could not get the brown/black stain out of the steal frame. But I squirt this stuff on full strength and left it for half an hr. Came back and the mold and stain easily came off with a Mr clean sponge. Mr clean sponge alone did nothing, but it helped some with soft scrub. Steal frame for the first time in over a year is shinny, clean and new looking! Thank goodness!!!! OMG how gross it was. Will always have soft scrub as part of my cleaning routine from now on!

Best cleaner. Doesn’t have the toxic smell the oxy version has. The commercial one is too strong. This one is just right.

I have bought Soft Scrub directly from the grocery store and used it for years. It usually works great and really bleaches out the stains, along with my olfactory receptor cells. This is the first time I've bought Soft Scrub off of Amazon, and I don't think this is the real product--or it's expired. It does not have that strong bleach smell and it also does not remove stains as it usually does. I'm on my second bottle of a 6-pack and it just does not work. Now I'm stuck with four more bottles of junk.

Good quality, soft, scrub, scrubs the bathroom impeccably the longevity goes along way because you all I need a little bit for a lot of area. Great sweet smell and not really water resistant sprays off after you scrub. It leaves a nice bright shine and it’s a good value for your money when you buy in bulk.
