The gel texture was good and absorbed really well. Gives good protection against sunlight.

It has this Gillette-ish kind of smell to it, like they were trying to design a fragrance that would be sort of "man smellish", and not offensive to men.It is not overwhelming or offensive, but my personal taste lies elsewhere.That will not stop me from using this; things they say on the front of the tube "matte finish, non-greasy",I found to be true.So let's start with the tube itself: I like that they did a flip cap.Some of the products I receive have still an unscrew cap and I just prefer the ease of flipping open a cap squeezing and clicking it back closed, so thank you for that.When you think of a gel product, which they describe this as, I'm thinking of something clear or mostly translucent, this is actually white, and I think we can thank the zinc oxide for that; no worries, it's not like old school zinc oxide that takes forever to rub in and disappear, it just disappears from view, instantly.I think for an average guys face, you could probably squeeze about an inch and a half line of this into your palm, or maybe even less and then rub it in between your hands and then apply it to your face.I might have used that much or maybe a teeny bit more and it was almost too much, but the good thing is I just used the extra on my ears (which should be getting sunscreen anyway).Some of the sunscreens I've used make me hot and they make my face sweat the minute I start doing something; this has not had that effect for me, and that's a positive for me.Since I've just received and started using this and I already have a lot of color on my face from regular lap swim workouts in an outdoor pool, I won't be able to tell you as to how effective it is in preventing sunburn.I use this AFTER the swim; it is not waterproof, so far as I can tell.What I can tell you is, I am more apt to use this, based on its texture and it not making my face hot and sweaty.I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision.I rarely give an overall five-star rating.

MADE IN INDIALet me begin by saying that this product is made in India. I only mention it because I hardly ever see products for the skin that are made in India (except for those made with neem oil). I think that’s kinda cool.BLENDS WELL - NO IRRITATIONAs you can see from my accompanying photos, the product is indeed a white gel. It goes on easily and blends quickly. I did not experience any skin irritation. Since it blends in so well, there is no evidence that I am wearing anything on my face.FRAGRANCEThe fragrance is pleasant. My wife says is smells musky and very masculine. I agree. Also, dare I say it… it smells a bit like Old Spice. You’re either going to find that to be a plus or a minus. For me it’s a plus. The smell is not overwhelming to me, so it’s just a hint of Old Spice. The scent dissipates after a while, so I could not smell it through the course of the day. Of course smell is subjective, so you might decide it smells different from what I think it smells like.LONG LASTINGAs for long term wear, the manufacturer says to reapply after 120 minutes. That’s pretty good in my book.REEF SAFE?I’ve posted a question asking of this product is “reef safe.” I will update this review if I am provided an answer.FINAL THOUGHTS - COST IS REASONABLEOverall, this is a good product. The smell is pleasant and I like that it is all natural. It blends in very well, so no one can tell you have anything on your face. It might seem a bit pricey to you… however if priced against similar all natural products, it is quite reasonable.

This sunscreen has a slightly medicinal/sour scent that's not actually unpleasant. It comes out white, but turns clear as I rub it on to my skin (probably just because it's thinner). As it dries, it stiffens up a bit, which I personally don't find to be pleasant.WRT sun blocking, I'm not sure if it's really as effective as claimed - I did a bare/protected test on two areas of my arm, and I didn't see a huge difference after a hour walking in the Califronia sun.The tube shows up with a plastic overwrap, but that doesn't actually prevent the cap from being opened.I am in general underwhelmed. 2.5 stars.

I guess the bearded guy drawing on the front should have given me the hint that this is made for men. I didn't see that in the product write up but may have missed that point. I was surprised when my teenage soon started to put on during a recent trip to Florida. It smells like after shave or cologne and it is strong at first. Smells like a disco or club cologne and not a scent meant for women. Thankfully the smell faded as I found the scent strong and not something I would reach for compared to standard sun screen. One thing to note is the product is made and sold by foreign company out of India. While the product seems to work find not sure I would purchase again based on the scent and how strong it is, even though it fades over time.

This is a tough one for me to test and review at this time. It's almost mid-October in PA and the sun just isn't that strong here right now. So, I did put some on and test it out as best I could. First off, I don't think I've ever used a gel sunscreen before - it's always been a lotion, oil or spray. I like the gel. Second, this stuff smells good - I like it. It doesn't smell like normal or typical sunscreens do. I put some on my arms and it wasn't sticky or shinny either. I could see putting this on my face without any issues. The fact that it's organic is a plus too (and helps justify the expense of it). Overall, I am happy with it and look forward to a time I can use it more.
