Zacurate 500E Premium Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Oximetry Blood Oxygen Saturation Monitor with Silicon Cover, Batteries and Lanyard

I bought this unit to replace a previously owned Zacurate product, the Pro Series 500 Deluxe. This unit is much better than the old one. It has multiple display options which is nice, especially the option that flips the display so you can read it if you use it on the other hand. To cycle through the display options just push the on off button until you get to the one you like. Nice. It also gives an accurate reading much faster. The Pro Series 500 Deluxe that I owned previously took some time to give an initial reading and then we learned that you had to wait 5 seconds or so to let the reading adjust to the final reading. This new unit gives a quick reading and there is no need to wait for it to adjust. Finally, this unit has the best accuracy of any blood oxygen unit I could find under $50. It has a plus/minus accuracy of 1% which is the best I could find. All the other units by Zacurate and other manufactures had a plus/minus of 2%.

Very nice unit, seems to be accurate, at least the heart rate monitor is .Like the adjustable display. It is very bright and easy to read.

I bought this on recommendation by my mom's PCP as she was recently placed on oxygen and is lined up for therapy as well since discharge from hospital. She lives in an ALF and being on oxygen 24/7 but we are hoping to wean her off as therapy progresses. This little aid will help her to regulate her need for O2 so she won't have to rely on a nurse being available if she wants to know her reading but instead can use her own monitor for her oxygen saturation level AND pulse! She can then take a break from being confined to a cannula or even a tank for a short trip to retrieve her mail. This monitor should give her the freedom she needs and yet able to confirm if she must go back on the oxygen. The monitor is very easy to read, the screen can be rotated for easy readability in any direction, gives reading of both oxygen saturation AND pulse (very important for my mom as uncontrolled high pulse rate was the reason for hospitalization), comes with batteries/lanyard string/case. For the price, easy readability, and positive consumer recommendations, I knew this was the monitor for my mom.

The 500E is full of features I don't use (probably should have gotten the older model) - I'm most concerned with pulse and O2 levels, but I like that it can be oriented in different positions for easy readings. The recommendations say it is useful for sports such as biking. I am a biker and interested in my O2 levels when riding, but the instructions say not to move your hand when it's processing, therefore I don't get good readings. Also, it frequently takes 20 seconds or more to get a reading even under optimal conditions. The pulse rate also varies widely sometimes. Maybe my expectations were too optimistic. I think it's a cool unit with a lanyard, protective cover and a carrying pouch and is reasonably accurate most of the time, so I don't regret buying it.

This is a great little device. It uses 2 AAA batteries so no need to buy special batteries. Easy to use and it turns itself off. When you remove your finger, it displays "finger out" and then turns itself off. It does not take long to get a reading. Easy to clean and sanitize. It comes with a rubber protector shroud, a lanyard and a canvas carrying case which may be handy for those who want portability. A must have for your gym kit or asthma kit! Very happy with this product.

I have had a zacurate for 5 years that I purchased after being diagnosed with copd. It still works and gives consistent reading (3 reading trick) the spring though is starting to get loose so I upgraded to the top of the line 500 E premium. It came with a cover for the device plus a pouch to store it in and a lanyard. This one gives a reading in 5 to 7 sec. I bought a oximeter on a medical site that was twice as much thinking it would be better. It was horribly inconsistent on the 3 readings. One was 82 (dead) 90 and 95. They were all done back to back same finger sitting and resting quietly.

I have no idea how accurate this tool is but in the middle of a respiratory pandemic it has been very nice to be able to quickly confirm my body is performing normally and able to get a really good baseline for the blood oxygen percentage that I typically operate within.It's a simple 1-button operation to turn on and then to change how the output is rendered. When the finger is removed, it powers down within a few seconds which is great for battery life. I've probably observed my o2% at least once or twice a week for the past 2 years and the 2 AAA batteries are still going strong!Buy this excellent product today and enjoy peace of mind having a little more reassurance that you are fine or to monitor yourself in the event of an issue within your body. This may or may not be approved for usage in a medical environment, but I am very satisfied with it and am grateful to know what my normal o2% range is.The graph of your heartbeat (the graphic I tend to use) and outputting your pulse at the same time is a great feature that is calming and fun to observe as it changes from standing / sitting / lying / walking. Would certainly recommend this product to anyone.

Seems very accurate, and fast reading

It has all the features of an expensive Pulse Oximeter. I am comparing it to another brand that I have which is suitable for hospitals or medical use. At less than half the price. The readings are almost identical.The only issue with Zacurate, is unable to detect reading if your finger is cold.
