THIS IS THE OLD FORMULATION, BUY IT BEFORE IT'S GONE. My friend had put me onto this gel about 7 years ago and it works super well for our curls (I have combination hair but mostly 4b for reference). It holds my curls, mixes well with my other products, lays my edges very well, doesn't flake or leave a cast like Ecostyle does and a little goes a long way so it lasts a while. It would keep my hair moisturized and it's great for twist outs, braid outs or simply wash n go's. I had my hair in protective styles majority of the past year so it wasn't until January that I noticed the formula change when I went to buy it again. The new formula is TERRIBLE, dries out my hair and flakes, I read other reviews of curly girls of varying curl patterns claiming the same thing. I was dissappointed as I was just telling my friend how great the old formula was. On a whim I checked to see if anyone was selling the old forumla and here it is! The old formula with jojoba and sea kelp! I assume this is backstock as it is sold from Aussie official, so definitely grab it before it's gone and only the new, bad formula is left!

This is personally one of my favourite gels as it has a really strong hold, but not enough to weigh your hair down and make you feel like you’re dragging through the mud. It’s honestly really easy to us and has quite a pleasant smell. To just get rid of the hard gel casting around my curls, I just use a small amount of oil and rub it into my hair. I’ve had this gel for over 6 months now and there’s still a lot left (a little less than half) so you honestly don’t even really need to use that much for the hold that you need. What I like to do is squeeze out a nickel sized blob in the palm of my hand and then rub my hands together so that I can rake it through the roots of my hair (outwards) and use the remaining that’s left on my hand to tame down any flyaways and use it for the bottom of my hair and scrunch upwards. For my 3a-3b girlies, this gel is for you!

Love this stuff! I’ve never found a product that works better for my 3B Low Porosity hair.It does a great job at defining my curls and keeping them that way, without being crusty like other gels I’ve tried. It may be a little crusty after it first dries, but once it dries I just tossle my hair a few times and the hard edges go away. It’s surprising how natural my hair feels and looks with this product in it, and no matter how many times I stretch one of my curls out it always seems to spring back to its shape without losing definition. If I mess with my hair too much, it will start to frizz a bit, but way less than if natural or with other products I’ve tried. It also feels very light in my hair, whereas leave-ins and creams tend to weigh down my hair due to the low porosity.After using this product, I’ve never gotten more compliments and people asking me how I do my hair. I highly recommend it, especially if you have low porosity hair!PS:I don’t like my hair having too much shine to it, and one thing I’ve found that helps achieve a more matte look is sea salt spray: after a shower and quick towel dry I’ll spray a few pumps of sea salt spray into my hair, then towel dry again, and then apply the gel. Not only does the texture look really nice, but I swear the salt spray also helps define my curls further.

I bought this item quickly and just needed something cheap to slick back my hair, but it ended up being a product I couldn't get enough of. As someone who often uses hairspray, hair gel was not my favorite. When I would use a friend, it would be thick and never dry but this product dried so quickly but didn't make my hair super crunchy.If you are looking for a good hair gel (especially if you are trying hair gel for the first time) this product is perfect.

Unfortunately, this doesn't work for my hair nearly as well as other gels. It smells nice and doesn't leave a cast, which I appreciate, but no matter how much I used it only gave me a loose wave.

Hello shine!! This gel has a great hold, smells so good, and makes my hair so shiny. I've used at least 10+ other gels (curly girls, you know lol) and this one is hands down my favorite. I have thicker, super long curly/wavy hair and this is IT! Doesn't weigh my hair down and brings my curls out so well. Oh, and its cheap AF 🙌10/10.
