Have only used metal tea strainers in the past but having lost them over several moves, I saw these and decided to try them. Have absolutely no complaints about them. No chemical smell or taste and the design is so cute. Had no trouble getting the tea into the bag. I used both a finer leaf tea and a more coarse one. Had no issues with either....no slipping out of even the fine leaves. Cleaning was simple as well. Did have to scoop some out with my finger....the tea gets wet and it clings (of course)...and then a quick rinse under the faucet got rid of any remaining leaves. Very Happy with these (cannot comment on durability since I hav only used them a few times) but since I only paid about $10 for this set of four, even if I had to replace them down the road, still definitely think they are a bargain. They do seem well constructed though.

This is a great concept for filling with loose tea however it had some problems and I am returning them.Pros:Holes are a good size and none of the tea leaked out regardless of how big or small the leaves were.Easy to open and close with the bottom piece and they stayed closed.Silicone so food safe.String is heavy duty and plenty long enough.Cons:Tea bags are on the small side and will only hold about 2 teaspoons of tea plus they are harder to fill with the small size.When the tea is steeping in the hot water the tea leaves expand so much that they completely filled the bag; I like there to be plenty of room for the leaves to expand.Kind of a pain to empty without making a mess. I either had to scoop out the wet tea leaves with a spoon and it was hard to get them all out or keep shaking them into the trash. Both ways were messy and some of the leaves flew onto the floor.Plus why are there 4 of these in the box? I am the only person who drinks tea in my family, 2 of these would have been plenty and half the cost.I would prefer if they sold these in a larger size to make it easier to fill them and more room for the leaves to expand, plus I would just like to buy and pay for 1 of them. Therefore I am returning them.

I originally bought these because all my other tea strainers and filters somehow disappeared from my home and I just needed something quickly. I've found that these are a quite nice product. They're cute and nicely reusable. No bad taste. And for most all teas they don't let any leaves through. I did have an issue with some of the smallest particulates with my chamomile citron tea but I've never found a tea bag or strainer that doesn't let some through for it.

I thought these looked cute and wanted to buy them for myself as well as for my tea loving family members as part of their Christmas gifts. I was wary of all the "honest" paid reviews that bumped up the rating, but I figured meh, 11 bucks, why not. The packaging that arrived was damaged and scratched up. Definitely not in a condition that you want to give this as a gift. So that was disappointing. At first I wrapped it to give as a gift but my suspicions kept nagging me until I unwrapped it and tried it myself. I'm SO glad I did. This didn't strain the tea well at all. I didn't even have to squeeze the bag for pieces of the tea to float in my mug. It wasn't even really fine tea.So damaged, scratched up packaging and a product that doesn't work as advertised. It's a shame. Cute idea, but a fail. I can't help, but feel like this is something I could have found in a dollar store with the condition it was in - I wish I'd only paid a dollar. Good thing I'd gotten other gifts and this was just a little something extra. I won't be giving this to anyone or using this myself. I'm hoping my pictures show the reality of this product so others won't be swayed like I was by the fake reviews. I rarely leave reviews here on Amazon unless something is really outstanding or just really disappointing. Unfortunately - this fell on the disappointing end and I hope this review helps someone.

I am very much into loose leaf tea. I have various infusers and tea pots but really wanted an easy way to brew my tea when in a hurry or at work that didn't require the extra steps. This is perfect. This is also the only item I own that allows me to brew Rooibos loose leaf without everything seeping out. Just a few little bits...which is ok. It is easy to clean. Yes, you may need to use your little finger to clean out but compared to what I have been doing this is a breeze. The only tip I would give is if you use a cup with a lid like I do to make my iced teas at work it won't be completely screwed on. Again not a big deal for me but I wasn't thinking the first time I lifted my cup and tend to use the edge of the lid. Luckily nothing spilled.

If you like bitter tea or drink black only (longer steeping times) you will probably find these acceptable but if you drink white or green teas do not buy this product!I have similar tea bag from another brand that I love so when I saw these on lightning deal, I jumped on it to have a few extra. However I was so disappointed when I tried one the first time. The holes are much too small and there just isn't enough of them to properly steep the tea. I mainly drink green tea which is ideally prepared by steeping a brief 2-3 minutes and when I try this, I end up with water with just a slight tea flavor instead of properly flavored tea. Green tea gets bitter if stepped too long so If I wait for the tea bag to allow the tea to penetrate it is undrinkable. I can say I do not have this issue with my other silicon bag from Zans and will have to buy another one of these. The reason I did not, was the Almightea bag was much more expensive but now I know why, it actually works.
