2015 review: These are nice bottles. They do not look painted, the color is all the way to the thread. The color is frosted purple - not too dark color and not too dark frosting. You can see your liquid well. The plastic insert with a ball fits perfectly - you need to be sure to push it all the way in. But there is a design problem on the inside of the lid -- there is a small round plastic rim protruding out in the center -- it is about the size of the steel ball. So when you close the lid tight (which is what you want to do), that plastic circle comes in contact with the ball - thus pushing it down - as if you were applying roller to your skin. Well, if your bottle is not up-right at all times, that means the ball is pressed down and -- the liquid will start to come out -- VERY LITTLE amount though. Here is how I tested this -- dried the inside of the cap and everything around the ball and the thread, put the lid back on, turned the bottle upsidedown and left it on the table -- a minute later there was a smear of oil in the cap. I suppose you could be very DIY and file the plastic circle down to where it is not touching the ball. But there is no leak if you simply hold the bottle (without the cap on) upsidedown - as long as the ball is not pressed there is no leak. The other brand I bought had this problem - you hold the bottle upsidedown and watch the oil puddle into a drop and then drop. So this other brand leaked without any contact with skin or the cap.UPDATE 2016 review: BEWARE of buying it from anyone other than Mr Coftee directly. If you buy it from Grand Parfums II - you will get fuschia bottles that are colored bottles , the top / screw part is clear glass.

Product is decent, steel rollers are much better att distibuting essential oils than plastic rollers.*Note: Make sure to keep bottles in an upright position otherwise oil will leak into and out of lid. Ordered purple for my wife to use for gifts however blue bottles (see pic. - not purple) were received. I wanted to send back but wife wanted to finish gifts so we kept them.Coftee's packaging, "not so much"! Bottles came in thin paperboard box and were clinking & clanking against each other. Purchased same type bottles, only difference was color, from PCS products @ same time and the bottles were packed with cardboard inbetween each bottle and entire package was shrink wrapped place inside another box and rollers & lids were kept in seperate bags to keep from moving during shipping.Coftee's pricing, "not so much"! Everything works great! The product it's self works wonders! I was however a little disappointed when I opened the package and it was green and not purple... :( I Like green so I'm not going to complain so much..

Where I live, you can't just walk into a store and find these. I know because I looked everywhere. There was one place sold them and the price was ridiculous. Not only do you get a 6pk, but you get them at an amazing price. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Have ordered two packs of these. The first pack was good, the second pack sucked. Impossible to get the silver ball back into socket and also the lids would not screw on properly. Disappointing.

They are really nice, the roller ball works well.Only one problem > ordered the purple and received blue.Had planned on Royal Purple for anointing, but Royal Blue is OK, I guess

I have yet to find a roller ball glass bottle that does not leak. These are super convenient, but can leak slightly. they are better than others, but I get tired of a sudden outflow of whatever I put in the bottles.

They leak unless they remain upright but the coolness of the roller for (headache blends) etc is nice. Pretty. Can't carry in purse unless you don't mind oil leaking.
