Works with OctoPrint/OctoDash (after lots of tinkering)
It took about 10 hours to get this thing working for my application, but I was finally able to do so. I'm not taking a star off for that because I believe this is an issue with all of these TFT screens and my specific application.I like the refresh rate and the button for turning the display backlight off - it's nice to be able to reduce power consumption and heat. The part seems decently made and I didn't have any issues with the screen itself. Here's the steps I took to get OctoDash working on a rPi - I hope this helps someone.1) Install OctoPrint to sd card, insert sd card to rPi, update OctoPrint to latest version through browser UI2) mount the screen to the rPi, skip the vendor provided drivers as they don't work well with latest versions of things on the pi. Instead, install the WaveShare driver (search for "waveshare 3.5inch RPi LCD (A)"). The page should have a driver to install as well as instructions for rotating the screen if desired - worked great when I rotated 180degrees (didn't need to "calibrate" anything). Reboot - screen should now load and then flip rotation correctly (if configured to do so)3) Install OctoDash with install script they provide, opt to auto-load the app on device boot.4) Install xf86-video-fbturbo (search "xf86-video-fbturbo github") with instructions from their github.Rebooting after the last step should let you see output on the screen, rotate in the correct orientation (if configured to do so), and then load in to OctoDash.

Just get something else.
First off, I wanted to get this as a cheap and entry level addition for an OctoPrint setup with my Raspberry Pi. Seeing the mixed reviews, and one that mentions it working fine in Octopi, I decided to purchase it. Big mistake. Upon arrival, it was neatly packaged and includes a nice stylus, which I will give them credit for. The installation guide was nice, and it installed without a hitch. Here came the miserable part though: driver installation. It took several hours of confusion and troubleshooting with an Amazon technician to diagnose, and finally, they gave up and sent me a new one. I returned mine in frustration, and waited another few days to receive the replacement product. And guess what? It still doesn't work. It's a driver problem. I have tried this on another Raspberry Pi model entirely, as well as had a friend of mine try the installation. No dice. The driver simply refuses to work with Raspbian OS, as well as OctoPi as a result. Unless they fix this, the UCTRONICS display is a worthless paperweight.UPDATE: It wasn’t the drivers. I got one to work, and it failed. They sent a replacement that failed too. What a waste of time.

Great value an easy to set up
The media could not be loaded. This touch screen was great and was also a super great price. It is occasionally hard to touch but overall works great. The drivers were super easy to install and only took like 4 commands. Overall super great!

Great display but Pi heat is an issue
This is a great little display for the Pi 4, but there is one problem however. Unfortunately for UCTRONICS, the Pi NEEDS a fan and this display uses the pins required to power a fan. The display worked exactly as described and I was impressed with the resolution for such a small display. But without a fan, the Pi temps continued to climb until they reach throttling. Again, this issue is NOT with the display. But, until I can figure out a way to cool of the Pi while it’s connected, the display will not working for my purposes.

Pain to set up but works well
The screen itself works well with a pi0w, but was a pain in the @$$ to get set up. I could not get it to work properly going by the documentation that came with it. I ended up using the driver for another 3.5 touch screen and then it worked well. Physically the screen is very nice, clear, responsive and works well, but getting it to display was a hassle.

Misleading info
User manual directs you to an outdated github repository that does not work with current pi’s. The most ive been able to make work with this is a terminal readout, but only on startup. Waste of money, but i suppose the troubleshooting helped me learn some things. If you’re an aspiring hobbyist who’s into electronics and writing your own drivers (because the ones provided are faulty) then this is the gpio touchscreen module for youHowever i can say this is an extremely well made device. Doesn’t feel cheap and the option to turn off the backlight without shutting off the display with the push of a button is a nice touch.Again for anyone reading my review, for some pi users, this isn't the display for you. Be careful and check the dates of the drivers. (They should be current year)

Excellent value
I wanted a small screen to allow portability after installing all my required applications.Stated resolution is 320x480, which be scaled to useful 'big screen' resolutions if needed for change, etc.Drivers are available from the UCTronics web site. For this price, expect to do some groundwork. If you do not know how to edit, modify, compile custom builds, make sure you have matching versions of software before using the installation scripts on the UCTRONICS website.

I love this Pi Touch screen
This Pi Touch screen is perfect for my 3d printer I’m building with octoprint. There is no screw hole tabs but there was plenty of files online to print a case for it. The drivers where straight forward to install and I have had no problems with in and I have used it every day for 3 mounts on my pi 4 b+.
