This is the best Shea I have ever used. It is packaged nicely in a box which makes it very easily acessible. You can use it straight out of the box or split it up into containers like I did. That way you can have some in every room of the house. This is very workable for me as I use it on every part of the body. It's very good on all body parts including hair. It also does not clog your pores. It's extra good for a cuticle cream, foot moisturizer, diaper cream, eczema and dry skin reliever. Very light and whiped consistency. Just rub it in your hands and it turns into a silky cream that glides on great! It also has a very mild and pleasent smell. I like to add a bit of lavender oil and it makes it that much better. My husband prefers it plain which is nice as well as I said earlier, it has a great smell! One of my favorite uses is for my baby. Since it's totally pure and organic I feel totally comfortable using it as an all-over cream for her. Although this butter is so moisturizing it doesn't leave you too oily. A little bit goes a long way. The customer service is also wonderful! Very friendly and fast. They ship the product to you right away and it arrives in very neat and clean labeling and packaging. I was very impressed with this product and company. If you are considering ordering from here, don't think twice. They are a superior company with a superior product. I highly recommend and will be ordering again.

UPDATE - FAKE REVIEW: My original 5-star review was written for shea butter. This seller stole my review and posted it under their product.Looks as if it were poured into box and cooled. Firm, yet pliable consistency, soft enough to use right out of the box, after warming with hands. Planning to mix with another oil to thin it. The amt received is larger than what's available to me locally, and for a much better deal. I appreciate using pure ingredients, such as this one, instead of buying premixed lotions because it appears that companies work hard to corrupt every product before marketing to the public.

Bought this product for my girlfriend, here is what she had to say: "Let me start out by saying, I was a little hesitant at first, buying Shea Butter from online. This is my first time buying and using this product. I did research and read a lot of nasty smells can come from it if you purchase from the wrong place. The description was very vague, and the thought of the product being in a ziplock bag in a box especially had me concerned. I am happy to say, I was not disappointed at all! So, here are my first impressions... The product arrived very promptly- earlier than expected! The box is very sturdy with a printed sticker label. The shea is in its own loaf-type cardboard pan, which is sitting inside of a ziplock bag in the box. I read other reviews that stated the product they had purchased (from other sellers) did not have an expiration date on the packaging. This is concerning, because Unrefined Shea Butter does have a shelf life. (Mine has a good 10months!) The Shea Butter says "Organic", however, there is no certification to back this up. The product description says "Ivory", but it is more off-white ("Antique White"). The smell at first was NOT overwhelming. (I honestly couldn't decide if what I was smelling was the product, or the packaging.) I would describe the scent as Sculpey Polymer Clay smells- only, not as strong! I was easily able to dig my fingertip into the Shea Butter, and would describe the consistency and texture as a wet-crumble, but NOT gritty at all! Using the Shea Butter alone: It easily smoothed into my skin, and at first was slightly oily (less oily than the average body lotion). After a minute or so, absorbed into my skin leaving it soft with little to no odor or oily residue! One final note, I plan on using this Shea Butter to make a natural moisturizer/protectant Paw Balm for our dog's pads.

This is a fantastic product! It has a wonderful smell and is very easy to work with. As soon as I got it, I whipped up a homemade lotion I wanted to try on my toddlers very dry skin and it worked perfectly! Since this is organic, I have no concerns about using it on my little guy. I wouldn't use any other shea butter!

What a delight to receive this personal self-care treat in the mail upon our return from a long, tiring trip--so beautifully and thoughfully packaged. I am new to the Pacific Northwest winters this year, and was advised to try Shea butter for the rough, dry skin the inevitably occurs. It has been my pure pleasure to discover not only is it extremely effective with a luxurious consistency, it also has a delicious aroma! I just lathered all the dry areas of my legs, feet, arms and hands and laid out in the sunshine for a Vitamin D treatment! I felt I was in heaven. Also, I have been practicing massage therapy for 25 years and am ecstatic that I have finally found the perfect massage medium for dry feet. I have been using pure coconut oil for years, but would often would have to pull out something more moisturizing for the feet, which often is filled with too many unnatural ingredients for my sensitive nose, even the health food store ones. This all natural product is PERFECT!! Finally, I refuse to buy anything that requires inhuman conditions to produce, especially something as labor intensive as harvesting butters from nuts! The most important good feeling of all from this Organic, Fair Trade Shea Butter is how good I feel in my heart supporting it!!

The smell was rancid. The amount you get is good. But no matter how much essential oils I used I couldn't change the sting bad smell
