there was not any instructions in the box however Set up was very easy.. finding the network was easy..,.. finding the password for the network was the difficult part. it is found the device marked as "KEY"...... sigh... that was the timewaster.works like a charm NOW!

Yes it's unlocked and works well on T-Mobile using Mint service
This is the Alactel MW41NF hotspot. I wanted a GSM hotspot and this one works. Yes, as others have said, the instructions are in Spanish. That wasn't a problem for me, but I can see how others might be concerned. If it's any help, the instructions are basic and straightforward and the hotspot is easy to understand. The configuration is handled by an embedded web page at 192.168.1.1 when you're connected to the hotspot by WiFi. That web page first appears in Spanish but you can change the language to English. A note: trying to use the SIM operations to disable the need broke my first Mint SIM card and there's no need anyway. I think the problem is a Mint problem so your mileage may vary.Overall, I'm very happy with this hotspot.

Inaccurate listing - listed as unbranded; received crippled Keepgo Hotspot
Seller said this was a generic unti.Received Keepgo "Lifetime Mobile Travel WiFi Hotspot" which retails for $99.While the price was the same and shipping was fast via AMZ, the sale was made under false pretenses. :/I needed this urgently for someone who was starting online learning yesterday and it was my only option. It provides the hotspot functionality but without management access if absolutely anything goes wrong it is a paperweight. If it had been for personal use I would have returned it immediately.Interacting with the software / config (the problem):1. the hotspot is unlocked so you can use you own sim which was expected. I used a T-Mobile SIM and was regularly getting 20Mbps. worked fine with a laptop / ipad2. the device is hard-coded to keepgo service for management2a. the device uses a 'captive portal' that bypasses device settings; you cannot manage any of the device settings such as changing the SSID or wifi password. Attempted to connect via IP are also denied.3. you have to rely on the simplistic status lights for status: cellular, battery, messages, etc have no detail - just on or off.4. Since I can't get to the management interface I have no idea what the battery or feature set is.5. The password is super short as well and I can't change it.Device itself (fine)1. The alcatel device is small and portable. The back cover is flimsy, but I won't blame the seller for that.2. It's a small, portable, if simplistic, device.3. installing the battery + micro sim is simple and straight forward.3a. You will need an adapter if you have a standard nano-sim. Just buy a cell phone service setup kit at a corner store for $1 and rip out the adapter. If it had received the generic device that I could use with the Alcatel app I would have few, if any complaints for the price. Probably a 4-5 star device (for the price) if you get a generic one.

inexpensive, works well
This hotspot has been working without problems for me. It is small, it is lightweight and it catches signal well. The web interface is in Spanish, but with high school Spanish and knowing the typical web interface of a hotspot, one can understand enough to configure it. In the APN configuration section, there is an entry field for a phone number, which is "*99#" in the default profile, and that also works for my SIM (an MVNO on the AT&T network). I do not know why they felt the need to make that a required configuration field. Don't let that derail you!The hotspot comes with paper instructions in English, which are helpful, in particularly for turning the things on and off (hold the left side of the button for 3 seconds), for knowing where to find the wifi password, and for the default web interface password.

Horrible
This is the worst product I've ever ordered from Amazon. No real directions in English. Didnt work so I ended up sending it back.

Perfect
I’m not sure of the battery life as yet as I recently purchased it and only use it once or twice a week for church service and as long as I charge it, it will last for the 4 hours.I love the fact that I can take it anywhere I go and have connectivity to the net. It can use either of the two mobile company we have here in Jamaica. Flow/Lime and Digicel.
