Open Goal - Soccer Rebounder/Goal/Backstop All in ONE

Mine is in the garbage already. The smaller versions may work OK, but I can’t see the large version I bought working at all. Too difficult to get the correct tension, and the rebounding was minimal. After a hard rain the ground spikes came out of the ground and down it came. Definitely not worth the effort, nor the money. Let my $200 mistake save you your money.I really wished this would have worked out. Looked good on paper.

The concept is really good. And overall it’s a good product, but some of the equipment provided is subpar, notably the cord tension holders. These are made of plastic and started to wear on the edges within days when trying to adjust or reposition the external polls when they lost tension or collapsed due to a ball hitting the ropes or edges of the polls. The simple fix was just spending $10 on some aluminum (see pic) guyline cord holders. These worked great and are much more durable, don’t war, and hold the polls and net at a more consistent rate. Great system, just needs a small add on.

I bought the large for my '09 daughter who plays club soccer.Setup.The instructions are all right but needs a re-write. They should make the manual specific to each size that they sell to save some confusion.The net itself had a few flaws that could, in time, become an issue, and I will be writing to the company to detail with pictures of my problems.The poles themselves were ok. There were some paint flaws, some flat spots and a little loose fitting on both of the top posts.For the price, I would have liked to have had metal or aluminum stakes for the goal net itself instead of the plastic ones, which I believe in time will just crack.I had no issues with the 6 pole stakes and thought they were nice and easy to get into the ground.I used the 3',4',5' method to get the initial outline squared up and some gutter nails and marking string to get everything straight.In total, it took a couple of hours with some much-needed water breaks.In Use, this works as advertised and saves a lot of running behind the net for missed shots on goal.I do not see this being that easy to move to one side, so I will make due when cutting the grass around it.Overall I would recommend this to anyone that needs a good backstop and a decent size goal.It has taken a lot of powerful shots, and after 3 solid hours of use does not show any signs of fatigue or weaknesses.

My 9 year old and I assembled the large one in about 2-3 hours. The instructions were not completely clear, but were good enough to make it work with minimal amounts of rework. My son was out kicking into it as soon as it was assembled. It seems to work fine.On the other hand, the advertisement claims it is easily movable. In particular, I was interested in "easily pushing it out of the way like a curtain" which is a specific claim in the ad. I don't see how that's going to work "easily".

Decided to give this goal a try after seeing it on the field of our local USL Club. Without a doubt, this is the best athletic purchase I have ever made.The goal took two of us about 30 minutes to set up. The kids started taking shots on the goal immediately and can’t stop. Can’t tell you how much time it has saved chasing balls from the neighbors back yard.The goal is well made, sturdy, and rebounds like a charm. I can’t say enough about this goal.

Net broke after a couple months of use. Disappointed at the durability

This was not fun to put up. The corners of the net are not well marked, making it tough to line up. The instructions were also too vague, and I couldn’t find a link on YouTube for how to install it. The provided stakes did not hold well. The net also took a loooong time to put up. Once installed, four missed shots into the posts from my 9 year old caused the entire right side to lean over. Unfortunately I installed it too late, and now I can’t return it. Do not buy this mess.

Purchased this for Christmas went to install it this spring and low and behold defective part. Unfortunately a square peg will not fit into are round hold...If you buy it open it immediately because my return window over ran its course...
