BETTER THAN BUYING A NEW ONE BUT SOME SKILL IS REQUIRED
This battery was installed using a soldering iron, solder, solder flux, shrink tubing, and some small wire cutters. I cut the battery WIRES close to the old battery. I did this one at a time -there are 4 in the ribbon that need to be separated before you cut them. I then soldered the new battery wires to the newly cut ends of the old battery wires. While some may be able to solder the new battery wire to the board - it is not necessary. It is much easier to solder to the old battery wire and that wire is already well connected by the factory to the circuit board. Suit yourself - you were warned. As for what wire goes where - you'll notice that the new battery has 5 wires with one cut short - ignore that one. Pay attention to the orientation of the battery for the correct wire connections. I stripped the small wires one at a time and soldered them AFTER putting a heat sleeve on the wire. I then moved the sleeve to cover the solder joint and shrunk it in place. After all the wires are connected and covered, you are ready to button it up. There is plenty of room to fold the extra wire down out of the way and re-install the battery as it was.Enjoy!

It is not made for that aplication. Can make it work with both old snd new Battery ,
Needed Disassembly And (Extensive Soldering ) to make one good one out of both New and Old Batteries. Ya almost have to be a Electrician to make it work! I would have been far happier to pay $20 more dollars and plugged it in! Well I learned my lesson again! ,, You get what you pay for! This was garbage,

Easy enough, battery works
Bought this battery for my Bose Soundlink II.First, if you aren't good at soldering or you have kielbasa fingers, it's gonna be rough.Clearances are tight, hard to desolder.I elected to cut the wire off the old battery at the housing and use the additional wire to make splicing it in much easier.Facory battery has 4 wires, this one has 5 with one cut. As long as you keep the wires in the same orientation, you can line it all up pretty easily. After install, I would recommend updating the firmware on the speaker just to refresh everything.Battery is cheaper than a new speaker. We'll see how long it lasts!

Very Hard to Install
Unless you are exceptional at soldering in tiny spaces, buy a new speaker. If you’re adventurous and willing to buy a new speaker after giving it a go, I say go for it. I got mine to work after a terrible soldering job but, like I said, it works and has been for a couple months now.UPDATE: After about six months, it died. Just buy a new speaker and save the money and time.

The battery would not charge.
The battery would not charge. Talked to their customer service guy and he made it right. I highly recommend this seller, good customer service is essential for online sales. 5-Stars to MPF Products.

You will need to Solder.
I should have read the reviews. This is not a plug and place battery like some of the other Bose MiniLinks. This model requires that you solder this battery into place. If you have the skills, time, and patience go for it, but it too much trouble for me. I'll be sending this back.

Did not fix flashing red battery.
Installed and it did not fix flashing red battery. There are also absolutely no instructions on how to perform battery swap. Why would you go through the extreme effort to plastic injection mold this enclosure, design pcb to fit that enclosure and buy/glue batteries for said enclosure.... Then do NOTHING further to show the customer how to install? Also the leads were not protected from shorting during shipping - i'm sure that's a major NO.If you measure with a multimeter the wires on two ends of wire bunch there's a 0 and ~7.2v wire. The boes speaker pcb has a + - marked on it where battery solders in.Tutorial video on amazon was for a different battery replacement, and it's a ripoff from youtube.

Made the old bose speaker alive
Worked like a champ. Its little bit of a pain to remove and solder the new one other than that the battery itself is great. Brought the old bose speaker's to life. The battery life is also good.
