You know, this hazelnut freeze dried coffee is reasonably passable. Ok, I'll say it's good. First, the aroma of the dry granules when you open the jar is inviting... the hazelnut scent is encouraging. Now, the key to using freeze dried coffee --- at least, for me --- is this: 1) don't use too much -- less is better; 2) don't use scalding hot water, per instructions. The familiar notion that "well, if a little is good, then more will be better" doesn't hold up with freeze dried coffee, at least in my experience. It is, after all, highly concentrated. I noticed at least one comment saying he didn't taste the hazelnut. Frankly, I prefer flavored coffees and have usually found that even with fancy bistro brewed the scent seldom is followed by the flavor in equal proportions. Again, here, if you use less you'll likely taste the hazelnut better. My two (s)cents.

Smells delicious, but bland coffee taste

Added 3 June 2015: The more my wife and I drink this coffee, the more we love it. It's an instant, but it's about as close to a fine cup of brewed coffee that you can get. It's superior to any other instant coffees that we've tried. The hazelnut flavor is subtle, but definitely there. I've upgraded my rating of this coffee to a full five stars.Original review:This organic freeze-dried instant coffee has real hazelnut flavor, not the sometimes cloying chemical concoction one finds in some coffees or sweeteners. Hazelnuts actually have a very mild flavor, noticeable but definitely in the background in this particular instant brand. Some coffee drinkers, used to artificial hazelnut sweeteners, will probably wonder why they don't taste more hazelnut flavor in this coffee, but the flavor that is present is genuine.I purchased this instant coffee through Amazon because it is organic as well as being flavored with real hazelnuts. It's the first instant hazelnut coffee that I've ever tried, so I can't make comparisons. Like all instants, it's convenient to use - just add hot water or milk - but it's not really a replacement for freshly brewed coffee, though it's a quite good alternative. The directions say to use one level teaspoon per 6 oz. cup, but some coffee drinkers will want to make a stronger cup, perhaps up to two teaspoons. At one teaspoonful, the 2.35 oz. of instant will provide 48 cups of coffee, according to the label.This hazelnut instant coffee is recommended for those who, as do I, want to have an occasional cup of hazelnut flavored coffee but don't want to go to the trouble of brewing it from grounds, and who also want an organic product.

I really want to like this product. I've been trying to find a good hazelnut coffee for a long long time. I thought this instant coffee would offer the convenience and satisfy my craving for hazelnut coffee. Alas, no. It is ok if you just drink it like regular coffee. The search continues..

I like it..Um... but I have a question. I got to know there is a no seal on the top once I open a lid. Or it doesn't have a safety packing around the lid. Is this fine???? Please let me know.

I am not a huge coffee person; I never go to Starbucks or any other such place. I do, however, require a cup of coffee in the morning to wake the ole brain up. I am lazy, I use instant, and this coffee tastes pretty good to me.Nescafé used to make these little flavored coffee sticks, vanilla, hazelnut, but they changed the formula and they are ghastly now. That's what drove me to give this brand a try, plus it's organic. It has a nice hazelnut flavor, no sugar or crap; just add some vanilla coconut creamer, soy milk, cream, or chocolate almond milk and you're good to go. It comes in a small jar, which I like, because I travel a lot and I can just throw it in an overnight bag so I have some on location first thing.If you are a coffee snob, this probably isn't rich enough for your tastes. But if you just want a decent quick cup of flavored coffee, give it a try.

I didn’t care for this too much

There are very few coffees that I don't have a bad reaction to; this one happens to be one! Yay! I also like that it's instant, so that I can just have a little portion at a time, plus makes it easy. It also tastes good! I'm fussy about coffee, and have never had an instant coffee that tasted good, but this one does. I don't mean that it's the best taste out there, like some fancy gourmet kinds I've tried, but it's definitely very high on the good taste chart and is THE best tasting of all the instants I've tried (including Mount Hagen, another popular organic instant brand, which tastes bitter and sharp to me). What I love most about this coffee is that I get that "icky, sicky, toxic" feeling afterward, like I often do with most coffees. So, well done Organicgo! Keep making this stuff so I can keep getting it. Thanks.
