Fab Glass and Mirror Glass Table Top, 24" X 48", Clear

Large piece of cut glass ordered to cover the top of an expensive desk. Arrived 2 days early. Outside of packaging looked like it was really roughed up when it was delivered. After opening the tall box the glass had no damage, packed snugly and securely to avoid damage and is beautiful thick glass. Looks expensive! The large size glass I ordered covers about 85% of the large wood desk top. I was worried it would look funny not being the exact size of the top of the desk. It looks like I designed it to be that size! Just beautiful! I did not want a custom order a glass piece because the price was too high and the wood desk top is not a perfect rectangle due to raised trim detail. The last custom piece of glass I ordered locally near me to fit the top of a cabinet bar I had to go pick up(was so worried the ride home would crack it!), glass was way too thin, it looked cheap, size was slightly off, was overpriced for such thin glass and chipped on the edge during regular use. So pleased with Amazon and Fab Glass! They made it easy and didn’t break the bank. Before placement I cleaned one side of the glass and added about 12 small clear round rubber type bumbers. It took two people to set it on top of the desk. Helpful hint: The bumpers keep the glass in place and keep the wood from sitting directly against the glass. Over time stained wood can stick to glass. We used old socks on our hands as gloves to lift and set the glass on the desk so there were no fingerprints on the underside of the glass (my pet peeve!). I cleaned the top of the glass once it was on the desk. Could not be happier with how it turned out!

So my coffee table top measures 26"x51" and I took a chance and purchased the 24x48" glass topper. I gave 4 star rating on accuracy because dimensions were actually 1/8" smaller on both sides, say what? Anyway, it looks really nice, and protects the newly chalk painted (looks fabulous) table. This cost 119.00, the custom size was around 500., no thanks. So if you're not fussy, and the dimensions are close, try non-custom size. Good quality, thick glass, packaging was excellent.

I got this to cover my desk in my art studio after having an acrylic tabletop for years and getting sick of the scratches and paint stains. This is WONDERFUL- it cleans up so easily and with a sheet of sketch paper from a roll under it I have a perfectly white desktop all the time. Simply wipe off with some warm water or blue Windex and everything lifts off this beautifully. Be warned, this is a VERY minor green cast to it, but it's so much better than the easily-damaged acrylic I had before this. I wish I had gotten this years ago- I feel like I got a brand new desk.I ordered from Amazon using Prime and the glass came in perfect condition, well-padded in the box and no damage at all. I half expected it to shatter or crack in shipping (which is why I did Prime instead of vendor direct) but it was perfect when it arrived- just needed a good cleaning off from the static cling holding on to dust from the padding.

Immediately enhanced our table.

Fab Glass and Mirror has very good prices and they consistently beat my local glass suppliers for the products they carry. On this particular order I received square corners rather than rounded ones. However, Fab Glass and Mirror worked with me to resolve the issue to my full satisfaction. I not only would buy from Fab Glass and Mirror again, but I most certainly will. I use large glass plates to stretch watercolor paper in preparation for painting. This is done by thoroughly wetting the paper and affixing it to a flat surface by means of gummed tape. The paper then dries in tension, allowing for painting without subsequent rippling or buckling of the paper. After the painting is completed it is cut free from the gummed tape using a box knife. The glass backing is then used again. I find tempered glass a very useful, uncontaminated, and cost effective medium for preparing large works; e.g., this one was 3'x4'. Great job, Fab Glass and Mirror!

I used this piece of glass as a palette for my oil paints. While this did not arrive cracked, after three years, I put my hand on this piece of glass and the entire piece cracked in a million pieces. Since this is tempered glass, I would not have expected this to happen under simple, nondescript conditions. I had it in my climate controlled studio for three years and once I pulled it out to use it again, it only took 2 days until it shattered. It was a very benign moment and took me by surprise. I would have expected better!

Shipping was fast! It was packaged very well! No bubbles, cracks, or any imperfections. I was totally satisfied. I do recommend.

This glass is beautiful and really adds some class instead of using the plastic alternative. I bought some rubber feet to keep it raised which adds a nice touch. Appears to be very strong glass and the edges are nicely finished, no sharp areas.
