PopUP GN5 4" Round Gooseneck Trailer with Fifth Wheel Truck Adaptor

About to buy my third one
I bought my first hitch adapter in 2014 for my wife's 1986 Philip's 3 horse slant load LQ (second pic) she was having trouble hitching up with the goose neck and locking the coller. Then after getting tired of putting the fifth wheel hitch in and out of the truck when i needed to use my Kearney 36 ft flatbed I got a second hitch and it was the best thing i ever did, no more chucking (google trailer chucking if you don't get this) from the flat bed and much easier to hitch and unhitch. Now I am ordering my third hitch for my 42 ft 6 horse Sundowner (last pic). Two things to note first yes you will need a lube plate (cheap piece of plastic can be found at most truck stops), second my truck is a little higher than most (F-550) so I had to cut about 2 inches off of the trailer neck tube of the philips (second pic) and the Kearney (first pic) to make it go low enough into the bed for my truck height. But neither did any kind of damage and will not interfere with switching back to the gooseneck. This type of hitch will give you a better ride than a gooseneck and an easier hitch upMy two centsJason

Easy install with high quality build
This was perfect for my 2006 circle J 4 horse gooseneck trailer to change it into a 5th wheel hitch so everything can be towed with the same setup, no changing out.Easy install. Tight fit which is great!I love how hookups are much quicker now with my horse trailer and it tows nice!**On a side note, don't expect the power coat to withstand install and use. It scratches easy as does every other thing we have that's powder coat. Powder coat is overrated in my opinion. Also where the weld is has a sharp spot but it's easy to fix. It's heavy, be prepared for the shipping box to get tore up pretty good too, ours was almost boxless by the time we got it, good thing it's a hitch and can withstand sloppy handling by shipping carriers, might be worth it though for the seller to ship in a even more durable box then they already do, it would suck if one of these got lost or stolen in route that someone was waiting on.

bad welding
Easy to install. Two weeks after I installed it, my driver went off the road to avoid a stopped truck on the highway. The weld on this hitch between the top tube and the plate broke through the middle of the weld completely. The weld didn't have any penetration into the metal and the original beveled edge is still in place. The trailer came completely detached.

If you need it get it great product
Good quality product at a great price if your thinking about switching your gooseneck to a fifth wheel hitch and you have a 4" drop tube this will get the job done

Great idea
Great solution when having both a 5th wheel rv and gooseneck trailer competing for the use of one truck all summer. Knocked it down one star because the weld made it so we could not use the lowest hole, so the stock trailer sits a little high. But it is fine for quick trips to the vet when the 5th wheel hitch is in the truck.

Easy to work with
Easy fit, it took all the work out of building one.

Built strong. Works great
Works great. Couldn't use the lowest hole so we cut off about 1/2" off tube on trailer with cutoff wheel, fixed that issue. Nice paint finish. I added a nylon slick plate for greaseless use.
