Best fan I have ever owned for the money. I bought 3!
This fan is a powerhouse of air circulation. It moves a lot of air and works very well. I took this to the hospital while my husband was in a coma and used it to cool him off from a bed that was heated. He had a fever and the nurses suggested a fan to help keep him comfortable. I put it on the lowest setting and set it across the room but it worked so well that it actually cooled off some of the equipment that was being used to help him and caused the alarms to go off. It was THAT powerful. Many nurses asked me where I got the fan because they wanted to buy one for their homes. I found it worked so well that I bought one for at home use and another for my son in his dorm room. It comes with a remote control and it clicks into position. It does make a bit of noise but I like that for a white noise effect when trying to sleep. My husband did wake up from his coma and he appreciated having a fan in his room while he recovered as the equipment being used to keep him alive was also keeping him uncomfortably hot. I have never owned a better fan for the money and it has lasted for over a year so far with no signs of slowing down.

Really good fan
Wanted 2 wait until i had this fan for a while, & now i can say that it really works well. I have a large family room with a cathedral ceiling. Ive been unsuccessful in identifying a way to install a ceiling fan that didnt involve unsightly electrical conduit. This fan can sit in the corner pointed upward & circulates the pocket of hot air that collects at the high point of the ceiling in the summer. Yes, its a bit loud on high, but its moving a lot of air. Once the room cools off we switch to the low setting & its easy to talk & hear the tv with no problems. Its light weight for its size. A remote would have been nice.

Great fan, good value
The fan came well packaged in a sturdy cardboard box with cardboard supports at the top and bottom, so it was in 100% recyclable packaging. Was easy to get out of the box, too. Quick set up, nothing to assemble, works great at first plug in and it is very comfortably moving a lot of air at the lowest setting in my small apartment. It isn't noisy; it is quieter than most fans I think. It is adjustable by tilting it up and down, and the various settings click in place and stay put. It is very hot here today, and I was very glad to see it and to experience how well it is working. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

Moves a lot of air, is quiet, and best of all, it's made in America
I bought this after reading the reviews here and because this fan is made in the USA. I'm so sick of inferior, and often dangerous, expensive junk that comes from China. This fan moves air and does not have any of the problems that come with metal fans. I previously had a 20" Workforce fan purchased at Home Depot. That really moved air, like a mini-hurricane. But at high speed it vibrated. I like the fact that this fan is plastic, is lightweight, and at its highest speed, does not vibrate. It really moves air and it isn't noisy. At the highest speed, it sounds like a fan moving a lot of air, which seems like white noise and not really annoying. But at the lower speed, which still moves a fair amount of air, it's quiet. I'm going to buy a second one as soon as the weather turns warmer here. It's very stable and you can reposition it from the base, which clicks it into place. From the other reviews, it is easy to take apart for cleaning. That's something you cannot really do with the metal fans that are often very difficult to take apart and reassemble. It has a thermally protected motor, and it does not use a lot of wattage, which is something that cannot be said for the metal fans that always come with a three-prong plug. This is two-prong. All in all, we're very happy with this purchase. Thanks to all the other reviewers and those who answered my questions.

Great Product, great Air Movement, great Price! Happy customer!
I really like this fan. I bought this Lasko Cyclone to supplement my 2 Lasko Wind Machines because 1 of them is several years old and loosing power from continuous use. (but I still love the Wind Machines!!) This fan was just slightly cheaper than my old ones, but still Lasko so I thought I's give it a try. I am not disappointed. Great air movement! It has much in common with the Wind Machine: size, easy of use, and air power. I use 1 fan year round for air circulation & white noise when sleeping, (also to drown out my son & his GF when they fight!). I like a fan that makes some noise, but soft, steady, white noise, nothing annoying. This fan is perfect, it's even a bit softer than my Wind Machines, but still has the serious air out-put that I need. My room faces the morning sun, so it heats up in the summer. I use 3 to 4 fans pointed at each other, they create a mini wind storm over my bed & keep me cool with out having a high A/C bill. The base of this fan is a bit steadier than my Wind Machines, doesn't fall as easy if bumped; but still light weight & easy to move. I haven't had to clean it yet, & ease of cleaning will be a pro/con issue with me, so I will up date when I do. The only con I have & the reason I only gave it 4 stars is that when you change the fan angle it makes a loud grating noise. Normally I wouldn't care, but I have a 8 month old granddaughter who sleeps in my room sometimes. I have to remember not to adjust the fan angle when she does because the annoying noise will wake her up. I do not have this problem with the Wind machines. I think it makes this noise because of the steadier base design, so I guess it's a give/take issue. I do like the steadier base since this fan is on a stool aimed at the bed. I just wish it adjusted a bit quieter. Otherwise, this fan seems to be a good product so far, & I recommend it. I compared the air out-put to my Wind Machine & they are SO close. I think the Wind Machine's is a bit higher, but by so small a margin I couldn't tell until I had them side by side! So, this fan is GOOD! However, if you want quieter adjustment, a tiny bit more air power, & have an extra $10-$15 dollars to spend, I will always Highly recommend the Lasko Wind Machines! Those fans are freaking Awesome! Lasko is the only fan brand I buy. They work great & and don't break the bank! Thanks Lasko!

Prefect replacement for the one I had
It took a while but I found this as a replacement for the one I used to circulate air in my basement for well over 10 years. It runs 24/7/365 and does not seem to draw much for power. It is also quiet.

Tried and true for multiple summers
It's extremely powerful. It helped beat the heat out of a muggy unbearably hot apartment (hot water pipes running over it kept the over 100 degree F heat right inside with inadequate ventilation and no air conditioning), and that was what we purchased it for. That's been a few summers, and while our home is much more comfortable, it's still wonderful. It reminds me of The Great Gatsby, when Fitzgerald wrote of the billowing curtains and the women with rippling white dresses. When this fan is on, it's cooling effect is luxurious. We have used it for mostly for sleeping and lounging. It's quite loud, so it was not as ideal when listening is important (visiting, watching television, etc.). Along with our Vornado (which is whisper quiet and still powerful), we need a lot less air conditioning. It's a fantastic price for a wonderful fan!
