Great knife, very happy with it!
Okay, putting aside the "knockoff Sebenza" stuff and the issues of intellectual property and international patent law I'm just going to focus on the knife. This is a fantastic knife. It is compact, lightweight and sharp as all get out. Lockup is rock solid and it is a comfortable EDC knife that will work for most things you will encounter every day. It's not something to take on a squad of ninjas with single handed, but it fits great in your pocket. It's very "appropriate" for just about any office setting and does not give off that "I'm going to stab someone" vibe that some "tactical" folders do. It's a handsome little knife that gives you a lot of blade in a very efficient size. The blade steel is good, no it's not a "super steel" but if you look at the properties of some of the "Chinese steels" they are pretty good. When you factor in the cost around $12 it really is a fantastic deal. The frame lock was roughly about 40% and will probably increase as the knife "wears". The pocket clip is solid and well made. Everything about this knife is well made. You will be pleasantly surprised. Honestly for the price this thing is unreal. I recently bought two more as it's just a fantastic knife.I try to make my reviews engaging and useful. Please click the helpful button if you thought this review was worthwhile. Thanks!

Sanrenmu excellent Sebenza clone for the money
I saw this on Amazon for $14 and thought, a Sebenza clone for pennies on the dollar, what the hell, let's see what they've got. I've already got a $600 Sebenza so my curiosity got the best of me. The attached picture shows them side by side. They do look kinda similar, and the functionality is exactly the same with the liner lock, clip, etc. (The real Sebenza here has some upgrades that make it look different, such as the damascus steel blade and the wood inlays; the stock Sebenza looks a lot more like the clone). The build quality on the Sanrenmy is pretty damn good, all things considered - a lot more than you would expect from a $14 knife. It feels more like a knife that sells in the $60-100 range, in my hand, anyway. No, it isn't a Sebenza, and did you really expect that it would be, for one fortieth of the price? C'mon, nothing in life works that way! A real Sebenza has a sublime build quality that you simply are not going to get in a $14 knife, or a $200 knife for that matter. But the Sanrenmu is an excellent knife well worth having for its ridiculously cheap price. It does, in its own inexpensive way, actually feel something like a Sebenza. Highly recommended.**** Update: I bought a few more of these. These are just really cool to have around!!! I keep my Sebenza safe and sound, and use these for anything and everything - open mail,, crack open a paint can LOL Great performance for the cost!

Lived up to the hype
I've wanted the 710/7010 for along time , finally ordered one. All the positive reviews were warranted. If I had been handed this knife blindly, and told that it cost around 50$ , I would have believed it. It surpasses most, if not all of the knives in my collection in overall quality. It exceeded the hype , it looks a whole lot better than the pictures I had seen. Its a good weight for a knife, heavy enough so that you feel it's substantial and well made. Its sturdy and I don't see any PLASTIC parts to this knife. I like the steel ....I have another SRM with the same 13 MOV and its been great .....IMO I like it better than AUS 8, 440, 420 for a steel that you are going to sharpen frequently because it doesn't seem to wear down the profile of the blade as much. I understand that this knife is a copy of a very expensive knife, I don't care....if I did buy a +200$ knife, (never) I would never use it for fear of scratching it or losing it....so it would be a waste of money. In electronics , phones , DVD players, automotives etc etc....its considered innovative to produce existing designs and technologies and sell them cheaper to consumers .....but in the knife world it's mostly considered unscrupulous. I've just bought a 12$ knife that gets compared to a 250$ knife , kinda proud of that. I don't know how they sell this knife so cheap. Most reviews I've seen talk about how the patch of texturing is kinda useless, I kinda disagree a bit about this...as you grip the handle and your fingers wrap around, your fingertips will rest on the texturing, its not much of a grippy texture but with the gimping for the thumb and this texture , you have a decent grip on the handle. My douk douk and pocket bushman could use a bit of this texture. But anyway , I highly recommend this knife, I can't imagine anyone not liking it.

How does this company even make money?
This was my first Sanrenmu purchase. I did it because of the reviews I read and the research I've done. I am BLOWN AWAY. I paid about $12 for this knife and the cost to produce this knife seems like it's well over $30. My mind is boggled!Highly functional frame lock mechanism. It's very smooth and no rough jimping on the frame lock. The jimping on the neck of the blade is user friendly. Not too grooved or smooth, just right. The blade is a gorgeous drop point. Nearly identical to the Sabenza at a fraction of the costly (and materials). It's a smaller knife, but it fits well in just about anyone's hand it seems. The razor is extremely sharp. I have done box cutting and paper slicing with this and had it face off with the following: Ganzo 740, Spyderco Tenacious, Kershaw Leek and a few others......if won. This knife outperforms my Tenacious on numerous levels. Even if you like high end folders, everyone should own this knife. It's insane how you get this quality for so cheap. I'm blown away, stunned. It's light and easy to carry and it's a beautiful piece of art.You will not be disappointed!!
