Excellent battery that fits Dell Inspiron 5458 models
This battery is great! It fits flush in a Dell Inspiron 5458 model, with no issues. I tried another brand/seller and their's was described as an M5Y1K, but it didn't fit my laptop at all. I'm happy with this one because it's rated at 2800mAh/41Wh vs the OEM Dell battery rated at 2750mAh/40Wh. Other M5Y1K batteries on Amazon are rated at 2600mAh/40Wh, which is a slightly lower capacity than JEMESI's, so it seems that this is the better deal. Additionally, when I checked the battery using Dell Power Manager, it shows battery health to be excellent and reads it as a Dell battery. Overall, I highly recommend this battery if you're looking to replace an old one that can't hold a charge.

Run time on battery is much longer than OE.
So far it holds a charge better than the OE battery pack. It was not as pricey as I thought. Ease of installation? I would think anyone could do the install. I do not use my laptop for anything intense, it is however nice to have it work on battery power for a few hours (largest laptop by Dell) when it is needed.

Great battery, is it original Dell OEM?
This review is for the product, I do not know about the longevity and will update as I get more experience with it. I am giving it 5 stars because it was brand new, fit perfectly, actually it is the same material as the body. Can not distinguish from original. Looking at dell power manager it is detected as original dell. See photo, very happy with purchase.

Short life span
I purchased this battery in September 2020 and it lasted until December 2021, for a total of 14 months. When the battery was on its last leg, it would give the standard battery warning for Dell Computers, but would die quickly. Poor life span. I was searching for another battery and saw various reviews, but decided to shop at the Dell site. Too expensive at Dell; $119.99. Microsoft Edge saw I was shopping and directed me to Newegg Electronics. Newegg had the OEM Dell battery for $35.00, plus taxes and free shipping. I purchased the battery, installed it and it works fine for now. Time will tell if the battery lasts as long as expected.

Battery charging is normal
The workmanship and endurance are very good. The overall dimension of the battery is accurate, which is consistent with the installation dimension of the notebook. The battery is charged and discharged normally. It can play for a long time when fully charged. It is very durable
