Medela Breast Pump Car Charger, 9 Volt Vehicle Adaptor, Authentic Medela Spare Part, Compatible with all 9V Pump in Style Advanced Breastpumps

This charger has been my best friend. I've been pumping exclusively since my son was 3 months, since he never latched properly and breastfeeding was always a struggle. Without the car charger I'd be in some interesting situations always needing to find an outlet in an inconspicuous place when I'm not at home. Thanks to this I can leave the house easily for short or long periods of time and know that I'll be able to pump whenever I need to. I'm going back to work soon, and I do quite a bit of driving for my job. Having this accessory means that I will be able to keep pumping milk for my baby for as long as I want.I use this with my Medela Pump in Style Advanced Double Breastpump. Works perfectly. It does provide ever so slightly less power than a wall outlet, but I actually appreciate that. I have a VERY easy letdown and even the lowest setting can be too strong. Using it in the car actually makes pumping a little more comfortable for me.

No problems so far. Works great with my car and I can pump while my husband is driving if baby is in the car seat and he's hungry I can give him a bottle right then. Very convenient. I recommend this to anyone going on long trips or with babies who literally want to eat ALL THE TIME. If you are running errands all day or something it's nice to have. Let's be honest, if you work and have a breastfed baby it's not easy to always have time on top of having another child and a house to clean to sit down and pump. I pump while driving too don't even have to think about anything just hook it up and drive to and form work and have a bottle ready by the time I get to my destination.

I was so happy to buy this. It makes it so easy to pump while on the go and especially if you are running late and didn't have time to pump. I read some reviews where people felt it did not give them enough power. It works excellently for me. I never noticed an issue with the pump not being strong enough. I have used it for 5 months now. I can write an update later to let you all know if it is still working well.My husband and I are always traveling between states to visit our families and just for fun. We love road trips and this is a must for me to travel with. I highly recommend it!

When I'm running late I can just pump in the car on the drive to work. My family lives about 90 miles away, so when we go visit it's nice to be able to pump on the drive down and enjoy my time with family when we get there. This does not give your pump as much power as your wall unit, but it will do.

I wanted to buy this item because it was sold by Medela. Since I have an electric Medela breast pump, I wanted to be sure to get an adapter that was the same brand. However, this item does not appear to be made by Medela. It looks like a generic adapter that you could buy anywhere ("Medela" is not written or engraved anywhere on this item).UPDATE: I have been using this item for more than two years and it still works. However, the connection between the charging end and the car is no longer as snug as it used to be. I'm guessing that is because over time the springs inside the adapter have gotten less flexible. Also, I forgot to mention in my initial review, but my breastpump's degree of suction is less when using this car adapter than if it were just plugged into a wall outlet. However, this is true for ALL car adapters, not just this one. The problem is easily fixed by turning my pump's suction level up a little bit.

I don't use this for obvious reasons, but my wife tells me that it works well. We have about a twenty minute commute and she uses it to pump. She seems to think it powers the pump just fine. Just a note, I had originally ordered the wrong adapter. I had ordered the 12V adapter and my wife pointed out that it said right on the Medela box that it requires the 9V adapter. So i wasted a bit of money, but this thing has saved my wife plenty of time to make up for it. (This is our third child and I had forgotten how much time commitment is required for this sort of thing). The wife is a Vet and spends a lot of time on emergency calls running around and actually keeps a separate Medela pump set up in her van for when she gets stuck somewhere and needs to pump so this adapter is a life saver.

Game changer, my first child I didn't know these charger, it change my whole way of pumping. Love every second of it!On my 1st pregnancy I wasted my time arriving home and pump while I have a good commute of 30-45 minutes and I can use that precious time to pump.With my second child I got it and I love it, game changer, i don't have time, i pump my way to work, do errands, and my way out of work and helps me to keep me on schedule and save time.

I travel for work and have days where I will be driving a couple hours each way to clients and timing sometimes means that I'll need to pump between the client and my house. After a couple of trips where I ended up pumping in a rest stop (there are a couple of nice ones, but still...), I decided that I needed to be able to pump in the car (while parked at said rest stop). I looked at the battery kits, but the big issue there for me was that after I had the bag, pump, ice pack, expressed milk, and the wipes and other various things that go into pumping, the bag was fairly full and already kind of heavy. I also didn't want to have one more thing to think about when packing up since the days where I knew I would have an outlet, I would therefore want to take out the battery pack.I did not notice any difference in pump effectiveness with the car adapter after a dozen uses so far, and it is nice to have something light weight. I will almost always have access to either an outlet or vehicle, so this works great for me. If you really do need the ability to pump ANYWHERE, this will not be the thing you need. Also, different pumps use different voltages so make sure you check your pump to get the right one!
