I bought this peel a while back and decided to write a review now that I have had the chance to use it and see the results. I had been wanting to do a chemical peel for a long time but couldn’t afford to do one at the dermatologist office. My skin is super sensitive so I researched like crazy before purchasing. I saw a lot of good reviews and that this peel was good for sensitive skin so I decided to try it. I will say if you have sensitive skin be very careful. I did the patch test under my chin as suggested and it was fine. When I put the peel on my face was stinging a little bit but not hurting. I left it on for 5 mins and when I removed the peel following the instructions and I noticed 3 spots, 2 on my cheek and one on my nose that were redder than the rest of my face. My face was stinging. I applied rosehip oil and went to bed. When I woke up I saw that those red spots were burns. They weren’t bad and only slightly noticeable. Over the next few days I saw that my skin was peeling and very dry. The instructions said no peeling but I did peel. I had a few pimples when I applied the peel and those had scabs the next morning. Within a couple days they were flat. I get cystic acne and pimples usually stay a long time 2 weeks or more. I applied rosehip oil every morning and night because my skin was super dry. It has now been a month and I am loving my skin. Any pimples that have come up since the peel have come and gone quickly. Like a couple days and that never happens. I also had a dark mark from a recent pimple before I did the peel and it is 75 percent smaller than it was before the peel. I had some light poc marks from old acne and that is at least 50 percent better. My skin is a lot smoother. My skin looks great and I’m ready to do the peel again. I won’t leave it on 5 mins again to avoid any burns but I’m loving my results. The burn spots are back to normal. My skin was super oily before the peel and it’s not perfect now but the oil production has gone down a lot. I knew my skin was sensitive and I knew that doing an at home peel comes with risks so I knew that burns and such might happen. I think you need to consider the risks when doing an at home peel. This one definitely works for me. I read reviews that said they apply once a week that is not feasible for me, my skin cannot take that but I think that once a month will work for me. I’m excited to see the results the next time around!

I'm African American with stubborn acne that has not clear up for almost 2 years. I purchased this peel 3 weeks ago to deal with my acne and acne scars. My skin has been acting out for almost 12 years now depending on where I go, but it has never been as bad as it got 4 or 5 years ago. I have had stubborn acne and scars left behind to remind me of it. When I bought this peel, I just wanted to try something that does not have salicylic acid since I'm allergic to it. It has taken me a few weeks to apply the peel due to dermabrasion sessions I have been receiving every week. I applied the Vitamin C & Kojic Acid Chemical Peel this past Friday and followed the included instructions. I neutralized the peel after 3 minutes and then washed my face after the neutralizer stopped foaming as stated in the instructions. Now, I was told by a Retin Glow agent that this is a mild peel that many of their customers use multiple times in a month because it is not so strong to produce a peel. Let me tell you what my experience was. Friday my skin felt very raw and I couldn't move my face. Smiling was painful. I knew that I was going to peel. Saturday I noticed that the few breakouts that I had were scabs now (YAY!) but I still had to make sure my skin had moisture. Sunday my scabs were peeling as well as the bottom of my lower lips all the way to my chin. (I was shocked but in a good way). I also noticed that some parts of my face looked like I had a sunburn. Today is Monday and I'm still peeling mildly but I was able to go to work with no makeup. I can't wait to try the peel again after I have let my skin rest. But so far I like what I have seen. If this peel will help dry my breakouts, then I will use it again and again.

I waited to write a review until I could have the full scope of this product. I only want to write my honest opinion. This product is wonderful! The first time that I used it, I left on only for 1 and a half minutes. It definitely causes a stinging sensation, but nothing intolerable. The next day my skin looked almost normal, but the 2nd and 3rd days was dry and flaky. But then, my face looked fresher and smoother. I waited a week and did it again. Same result. Now, I leave it on for about 4 minutes, once a week, and my skin stays fresh looking! I have been using it for just over a month now, and I have definitely noticed skin discoloration diminishing as well as fine lines. This also helps smooth out the pores. I actually was asked my age yesterday (38), and the lady was shocked and couldn't believe it!I would recommend not leaving it on for much more than a minute for the first couple of times, and definitely apply the neutralizer liberally after the peel. I also wash with water really well after the neutralizer. Also, don't forget to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize, after!!

My skin does look a lot more radiant, bright and pretty. I also like that there is no down time. So, I can do a peel once a week. For that, I will give it a four star rating and recommend it on that basis. However, it's not a good investment for getting rid of deep scars and blemishes. My blemishes are slowly (very slowly) looking better, but they are still there. So, I will be buying a stronger peel with visible peeling in the near future. I'll probably continue to use this once my blemishes are gone because it does make my skin glow.

While my skin did tingle and I began to feel a slight burning sensation at the 5 minute mark, This acid peel didn't actually cause my skin to peel, but left my face feeling and looking clean & refreshed. I have been using it once a week as part of my skin exfoliation regimen. Please note that I am not a professional, and your results may vary.

Not sure how people do the 50% ones!! This one isn't a scream burn, but you feel it. The neutralizer works great and my skin improved. As they mentioned in the product description, don't expect immediate results. And moisturize!!
