Best chest strap I have purchased to date
I do not drive so I walk A LOT and take the bus. Always with my backpack and often it is full of groceries. The chest strap makes A HUGE difference in the way the weight is distributed. As a Licensed Massage Therapist I understand what this means for posture, balance and endurance.A color to match every backpack and an extra clasp, too! I will definitely be buying more of these.

Give them a try!!
So this is my new backpack; a Pacsafe Citysafe CX that’s replacing a Pacsafe Citysafe CS 350. I like them both even that the straps are long for my frame. This time though, instead of having my husband to wear my backpack I decided to buy a sternum strap. Reading another costumer’s review I was prepared to a certain grade of difficulty attaching the straps but actually it was very simple and easy. I had to cut the excess strap, did it without problem and use KolaLoca at the end, where the cuts were made just to prevent any fray. The first picture shows the sternum straps already attached and inside the backpack “sleeve”. The second picture shows it with the straps outside the “sleeve”. The third picture shows myself wearing the backpack without the sternum straps. The fourth picture shows me with the sternum straps. Notice that with the sternum straps there is no gap between the backpack and my back, making it comfortable and keeping my back from unnecessary pain.If you feel the need to place your thumbs between the straps of your backpack to make it comfortable then this sternum straps are for you.I still have to wear them while traveling to see for myself if they are durable and comfortable in the long run.

Great Sternum Strap value plus extra buckle Surprise
If this review helps in any way Positive or Negative Please hit HELPFUL!!! It will help encourage me to continue my real reviews of products I've purchased.Likes: * Durable Buckle, plus spare * Webbing material is nylon can be cut and then melt edge to prevent fray * This was perfect strap for my packable backpack experiment success. In my picture you will see that I used two 2" safety pins to secure the strap vertical position to my shoulder straps. * Generous length of material * Choice of color a super bonus, close to perfect match. * In a pinch strap would work as a belt strap or even a belt to hold up your pants. (Wow a belt for your pants in various colors under $10 great find)Dislikes: * None noted.Yes I'd buy this again. Just may buy this again as I have other packs that could use some extra straps.Thank you for reading my review:Again Please give this review a thumbs up. It is real. I do answer questions if in comments. I've been on Amazon as a customer for over twenty years, and now a top 500 reviewer. I don't get compensated for my reviews. (Not that I wouldn't like to be.) Simple, basic, effective
I needed a sternum strap for a Fjallraven Kanken “Big” version backpack because Fjallraven only sells straps for the regular size packs (which seems counterintuitive but - ok). These brown straps are a pretty close match to the bag, and I’d say the strap color is a little lighter in real life than in the product photos. The lightweight nylon webbing will be plenty sturdy for most users but I wouldn’t call it heavy duty. I actually appreciate the weight savings of the lighter-duty strap. This fits my 34-36” chest with plenty of room to spare, and as a woman I won’t have issues with the straps sliding down during use due to my bust - as others have stated though, this is something to think about if you don’t have molle daisychain m/etc loops to use. Without measuring I’d estimate those with 40” or larger chests might find the strap a bit small.Overall this is a basic item anybody can make on their own, but for me the price was very much worth the convenience. My backpack is ready to go!

Well Made Strap For Extra Support On Bags Missing A Sternum Strap
Anyone who has seriously carried a backpack for camping or hiking knows you need to take the weight off your shoulders at least part of the time. Well I bought a really nice Crumpler backpack and was shocked to discover that it does not have a chest or sternum harness. What is worse is that it lacks webbing to hold many second party straps in place. I love the bag — Crumpler makes great bags (this is my fourth) but what a major oversight. Thus the need for a chest strap. I looked at quite a few and settled on the Bronzeman. Some of the other straps I looked at seemed thin and flimsy. This one is not. It clearly does the trick and shifts the weight of the bag off the back and shoulders.Since I have no webbing it has to be really tight around the existing vertical straps. It does that fine but a few inches longer would be nice. I am not a big guy (size medium shirt) but with a really heavy winter parka it is a tight stretch to have both straps double back as you see them in the product photo. But at this point it does seem to hold well with one of the two straps a single strand. Also they do include an extra plastic snap. Since that is the one part that can break it is nice to be able to throw the extra into the pack in case of an emergency.

Improves any set of backpack straps quickly
I have a guitar case that doesn't have a chest strap which makes it uncomfortable at times and feels heavy because of how it sits. I just happen to look here and found this chest strap. Wow for the price a huge difference in carrying the guitar gig bag on the backpack straps. The webbing feels very solid and the clips feel very sturdy. I bought the "silver" and it is a nice muted silver which is good for my needs. You do have to thread the webbing so do one side at a time so you have the other side as a reference point in case you get confused.

Sturdy material
The strap is made of sturdy material. I had looked at others and chose this one for its price. I hadn't noticed that it came with an extra clasp, so I was delighted to find it included; felt like I had found the prize at the bottom of the cereal box. It didn't work on the back pack as I planned, but that pack was a packable type with thin straps; it had nothing to do with this harness. Instead I used it to attach my pack to my suitcase which worked out better since I didn't have to carry my backpack at all.
