A New Item For My Pantry; Fine Salad/Cooking Oil
Recently, I have come to favor roasted nut oils to add variety to salad dressings and to sauteed vegetables. La Tourangelle offers a very good line of these oils. Roasted almond or walnut oils 'double down' on the nut flavor in rice pilaf or in chicken sautes. These oils have a higher smoking point than olive oil and so higher searing temperatures can be used without 'burning' the oil. The roasted almond flavor provides a good 'finish' to sole almandine. There is no bitterness in this oil, so it is not like almond extract, as used in baking. This is the oil to use if you want a lighter 'nutty' flavor that toasted sesame oil provides. Lemon juice and zest combine easily with it. The wide top is easily opened by older hands and provides for a controlled pour if a cook is paying reasonable attention to the task. The top seals easily and securely. I'll 'keep this coming!'

The only oil I use for everything
This has been my go to oil for a long time. I read that regular vegetable oil is rancid before you buy it as it is heated during processing. Cold pressed is the only way. Others say it has a strong nutty flavor...I don't get that. It has a slight toasted-nutty flavor but really is almost flavorless. It is perfect for sauteing and fabulous for salad dressings of any style. I keep it in the pantry and it never goes rancid, although I use it up before it has a chance! I never thought of using it as a body oil, but now that I see so many do that, I will definitely give it a try. Highly recommended.

SUPERB SUPERB!!
This almond oil is superb. I have used many of La Tourangelles's oils and every single one has been terrific. You may not think an oil will make a difference in your cooking but it does and each of their oils has distinct flavors. I use the almond oil for high heat. I store in the refrigerator- as the company suggest's- it is cloudy when I pour because of the cold temp, but that does not change the flavor in any way. HANDS down my favorite cooking oils, made in San Francisco, and I wish I could have every single oil that La Tourangelle made in my kitchen- THAT would be a great gift!! -do not hesitate gifting to a foodie friend- the packaging is beautiful which is a bonus!

Strong Nut Smell
La Tourangelle always gives me a thick quality oil.I prefer them more than NowGoods. This one is thick and has a strong nutty smell. Great for hair, skin, and cooking. I use it as a carrier oil for my essential oil. High in Monounsaturated fat. Comes in a tall tin can. Refrigerator after opening recommended.

It has a true almond flavor.
I use it for baking. Make a great cake that I call my almond oil pound cake. However, several times I have received cans that were leaking, with a mess to clean up in the shipping box. Unable to find it at a retail store.

Nice oil!
Nice oil, good flavor but not as pleasant as their roasted peanut oil.

It's peanut oil
This peanut oil is good oil but the can it comes in is very difficult to pour from when you want only a small quaitity of oil.

Delicious change-up
I find this oil to be great for adding a bit of a different flavor to Asian dishes (use instead of toasted sesame oil) as well as cakes and muffins (use in place of vegetable oil). We enjoyed it in salad dressings also. A nice addition to a working pantry.
