Hunter Select Boresight .223.308, 30-06, 7.62x39, 7mm, 8mm Red Dot

I got this to get a rough zero on a rifle chambered in 7.62x51 nato. The rifle in question shot .308 reliably and with no issue so I figured it would be okay. After getting this bore laser loged in the chamber, I had to feed a cleaning rod down the muzzle to dislodge it(with two crown strikes, luckily no zero yet). Rifle is fine, grabbed a .308 Win snap cap to see the neck of the bore laser doesn't match the shape of a 308. Snap cap. Laser its too broad and doesn't taper the same at the front. I can't speak to how this will take on a proper .308, but if youre looking for a laser for a 7.62x51 nato, this ain't it, and given the odd shape I don't trust it enough to put it in my .308 to see if it'll work there.

Well, you get what you pay for. It was off center just to the end of the barrel until you mess with how the round sits in the chamber. And it doesn't like the batteries it comes with too much though when you use different batteries it seemed to work much better as far as brightness goes. I used the black .308 version.

Bought it, read the reviews on how the batteries it came with don't work often, which was true. Went out, bought new ones, the same kind as was sent, still doesn't turn on. Probably one out of a thousand, but still. Waste of money for me.

Compact, good instructions and a quality product. I’m happy! Can’t beat the price. I have purchased three and will probably buy more.

The boresight did not work I even put new batteries in it and still would not work so worthless

Light barely visible out of the package. With cap installed won't illuminate. Had to fiddle with forever just to get any light. Not usable.

Doesn't work for a damn. maybe 10-40 yards with low lighting. Poor product. Save your money
