Unprocessed hair - Wildfire Red
I've never colored my hair. It is long and a color I like so I guess I got lucky with hair. I've always been afraid to mess it up..my hair isn't a color I could just dye back if I didn't like it.I have medium brown hair with a lot of blonde and red, and I wanted to boost the red. I started looking at color depositing shampoos, but concluded a semi permanent dye might be better. I saw the Manic Panic pictures of black hair tinted blue so I thought I'd give it a try.The pictures here are taken the day after my strand test on unprocessed hair (no bleach or whatever - I don't even know what the words are haha). The honey/amber color is my natural hair and the pink/red is Manic Panic Wildfire Red. I did two strands, one for 2 hours and one overnight after heating with a straightener - no difference. So at least for me, I got maximum initial coloring after 2 hours. As some other reviews mentioned, the lighter ends (3rd picture) took more color, but on my hair it did pretty well in the middle also (1st picture).I probably won't do any more with Wildfire Red because it came out a little more pink than I wanted. I ordered Psychedelic Sunset, and I'll repeat this process with that. Now that I know it does what I want, my next concern is that it actually washes out completely and that my hair looks as it did before. I'll update this post when I have an answer to that! Also - a lot of comments on how messy it is. At least with the strand test I had no issues. I used nitrile gloves and wrapped the pieces with saran wrap that I held in place with small rubber hair bands. Rinsed in the stainless steel kitchen sink and (since they were just strands) blotted dry with paper towels. No pillowcase issues, didn't breach the gloves, didn't stain my clothes etc. Not sure what will happen when I wash it the first time, haha!

This dye did nothing.
This dye came and was a weird gritty texture. I’ve used Manic Panic before and it was not like this. It almost felt like sandy clay. I could tell immediately that it wasn’t depositing color. It was going onto my son’s strawberry blonde hair, very light. I even got some on my hand and it didn’t stain my skin. It was like this product was completely missing the ingredient that deposits color. I left it well past the time on the package and it basically had zero effect. It looked like we had rubbed hot cheeto dust on his hair and when we rinsed it was gone. Horrible horrible product. I can’t return it because it’s already open and been used, but it was absolute garbage. I think I got a bad batch and have no recourse to get my money back.

It's really messy
The review is for wildfire color particular.I bought different colors of this brand and they were ok. The wildfire color is really like a wildfire, no pink no orange, exactly truly red. But! It leaks very badly from hair. Towels, pillow, even hands touching wet hair.

Wildfire is ORANGE
My girls wanted to color their hairs so I got on the ol' Amazon and ordered some Manic Panic. The purple was purple! We didn't leave in long (antsy 4 year old), but after 30 min we washed out. Very pretty pastel purple lasted for a few weeks. (We don't deep wash hair much.)On the other hand, we purchased Wildfire because it looked like RED on the pics...my 6 year old was bummed out when it turned her blonde hair a brassy/coppery orange! Not even a pretty shade. Such a drag. She got over it, but it was a bummer for her.

Worth the Hype!
Everyone raves about this brand. I wasn't sure but I'm always up to try new things so I picked the color closest to what I thought I wanted and dove in.It's SO nice. The coverage is great, very thick and easy to apply. It rinses really well from the skin. I usually apply coconut oil to my face and ears but some hit my shoulders and it washed off easily. The color is gorgeous. I failed at the actual bleaching part so my hair is about 6 different colors but all of them are very pretty shades of red. Can't wait to use it again but, you know, correctly!

Wild Fire is NOT Red
I was skeptical that it wasnt the intended color as soon as I opened the product. I do enjoy the it and have gotten many compliments on my hair, I was just a little bummed. So just a heads up, wild fire is VERY orange

This is perfect!
I absolutely love this product. I used Wildfire Red and I have medium to dark brown hair. I’ve never dyed my hair before and I’m so surprised the it took the color so easily. I put it in for 3-4 hours and had a plastic cap on. I’m so scared to actually dye my hair because of my curls so this works perfect. I recommend this to everybody who doesn’t really want to commit to actually dyeing their hair. The longer you leave it on the better.
