Excellent! A true household staple.
I REALLY love these noodles. I can't seem to go wrong when I cook with them. They are yummy al dente', but also resilient when I try to overcook them, which is a mistake, yes, but they still hold their shape well and are very tasty. Mostly I notice that they have a wide range of "perfectly done" which is nice as I like to cook them in a cast iron skillet with seasonings, with just enough water to cook them for a flavorful gravy. I do not do that drain and rinse nonsense anymore!

Excellent And Authentic Organic Udon!
Oh, dear? Dislike? Surely, no. We positively love these noodles! Getting a full on case of these Udon noodles was a very smart thing to do. We received a better value by doing this. And it will be awhile before we run out. Eight packages arrive in one case. There are three delightful and delicious bundles of Udon in each package. We love that portion control is built right in, because each bundle of Udon has it’s own little paper wrapped gently around it. Very easy to remove each time. These Udon are most certainly organic! Very good in stir-fry. Soups, too. They cook fast, within about four minutes or so.

really nice.
IT comes in a big box that holds all of them for your pantry. They have good flavor and if you follow the instructions they turn out very nice. One pack holds 3 bundles of noodles. I would say the noodle density is almost that of a pack of ramen. So I usually use two bundles per meal mixed with some miso paste after they have cooked. They are a little bit more than the cost of ramen, and having to rinse them in cold water is a bit more than what is required of ramen but the quality and flavor is way better and I think justify the price.

Excellent udon
I ordered this online due to my inability to find it in “reg” markets. Just easier instead of jumping from market to market. And VERY glad I did. A tad pricey but when we use pasta I measured 2 oz per portion. And I used it the first time to try it out with homemade Cincinnati Chili. Oh all things and it was delicious! I did salt the water ( in package says not necessary and it wasn’t) And only reheated the noodles slightly in microwave. Worked well Can’t wait to make stir fry and use them again. Delicious!!!

expensive, but tastes good
My local Asian grocery store sells this same brand of "organic" udon noodles for about the same price as Amazon (except that they only make you buy one pack at a time). They also sell non-organic udon noodles that look and taste about the same for less than half the price. Is the "organic" worth the extra money? You have to decide for yourself. Udon is a great general purpose noodle. For a quick cheap tasty bowl of noodle soup, just boil some udon noodles and add some miso soup paste and vegetables. One 3 ounce bundle of dry noodles conveniently makes a nice serving of cooked noodles. A bowl of soup like this takes about the same amount of time to cook as instant ramen, but since the udon noodles are not full of salt and oil, they are a lot healthier for you. Yes, udon does cost a little more than instant ramen, but you can save money by going with the non-organic noodles, and they are still much healthier than instant ramen. You can also stir-fry the noodles or make them into a salad. For a full meal, top the noodles with a serving of meat and sauce.

Thinness quickens preparation.
Unit size, tidy packaging (into 3's), plus quality and taste, are superior for sure. When in the kitchen, and when in the outdoors, the thin construction supports rapid preparation, avoiding over-cooked and spoiled noodles. These are the very best I have encountered. They seem to keep exceptionally well in the pantry. I have made these my first pick to use and put in inventory. Common generic product are not up to this standard. I don't expect to see its better, and am very happy with this simple but well-produced food product.

Not the thick udon noodles, but good quality nonetheless. I use for ramen.
These are good, I use in ramen in place of ramen noodles. Prefer the thicker, frozen udon noodles in my udon soup (and stirfrys even) than these, but these are great, easy to make and even refrigerate well once cooked. Sometimes I'll do a quick 4 minute boil in the morning, throw in a carry out container and take to work for lunch. Heat broth or sauce separately and then just mix in.

Cooks FAST
Can't cook these like regular noodles…unless you want really mushy noodles. I stupidly didn't read the directions fully on the back which clearly state they only need to boil for about 5 minutes. I've made varying amounts of these noodles (from one 1/3 package to a whole package) and cook time only slightly changes (barely 1-2 additional minutes for larger batches). I bought these because I liked the ingredients list (few and all I can pronounce and understand). Tastes great. GREAT PRICE.
