My friends love it
I am Japanese so this is not for me but I bought 3 and gave them to my friends who want to study Japanese, and they loved it. It's a great practice book!

Very nice workbook!
I like to periodically brush up on my writing skills since I don’t really have a need to write in Japanese much anymore. This is a great little workbook perfect for that purpose or for beginners. The only gripe I have with it is I have found that some of the words they chose to use for examples are so formal that no one really uses them, you would sound bizarre. If someone was planning to use this for some vocabulary learning as well, I would keep that in mind when purchasing.

Overall this book is great. I feel it does a great job of teaching the Japanese Kana both hiragana and Katakana. I love that it shows the strokes, helps with pronunciation, gives you plenty of space to practice and shows you variations of how it’s written (which is very helpful in my opinion) I also love that they have the ro-manji as well as a word with its mean to help drive it home. The only issue I have is there is a minor mistake in one of the pages. Idk if it’s just this particular book or a misprint in all the books but on the page for RI in the Katakana section it says the pronunciation is chi but that is incorrect it should be RI. Since I know the katakana it’s not a big deal but for someone who doesn’t it can be confusing with a language that is already a bit tough to learn. Normally I wouldn’t say anything however learning the Kana pronunciations is a huge part of learning Japanese.Just remember to always have multiple sources no matter what you’re learning. Mistakes happen no big deal but it can cause set backs so it’s always good to have multiple references.

Amazing!
It’s great quality! Has helpful pages and I like the variations off to the side. It’s a nice thick size and perfect for those learning Japanese! (At least I think so!)

Cute book, helpful
Cute book. Looks good and practical to practice with. They show you what direction to start per stroke and also shows you other ways its written in different fonts. Comes with a few additional blank practice grids that you could also photocopy.

Basic and effective at getting strokes correct and remembering Kana.
Great for written practice of your kana. I haven't seen anything better. It's as basic as a 1st grade or K book in a sense.

Great for ultra beginners
It's useful to see that the reviews show a chi/ri error in the book which I didn't know about. However, other than that this is a really helpful book for those just taking their first steps into Japanese and wanting some hand holding on their way into it. The letters are nice and big which gives room to practise and slowly neaten up. Each page shows you stroke order, the name of the letter, the pronunciation anf then gives you a page of practise boxes, some have shadow letters for you to copy and some are empty for you to practise solo. For me, this was a great entry into Hiragana, precisely what I wanted and I'm really happy with it.
