The rounded sides and flat base provide ample room braising room; the vented lid prevents boil overs. Crafted with Umbrian clay, an earthy terracotta material found only in the Italian alps. Food safe glaze is lead-free and cadmium-free. Andrew Zimmern cookware is safe for gas, electric and ceramic cooktops using medium-low to medium settings. Good product
I like how it feels. Slightly heavier than my Emile Henry Tagine, but this one is bigger. Will try baking bread next week and see how it turns out.
