Mojave Audio MA-301FET Large Diaphragm Multipattern Condenser Microphone

The MA-301 is a quality multi-pattern large diaphragm condenser mic that can be put to good use in many situations & produces a great sound with nice tone-color. This mic does well with loud sources & provides excellent detail. The high-pass filter can be used without altering the mic's tone or clarity & has a natural sound to it. This mic is a smooth operator & I confidently say it rivals the AKG C414, which I feel tends to have a more dry sound.I recommend this mic for: drums & percussion, vocals, guitars, wind instruments, string instruments, & more.I had the opportunity to experiment with two of these microphones in multiple orchestral & chamber music sessions at the Hot Springs Music Festival this summer (2014). While experimenting at the music festival, these mics took some really loud sound without any of the distortion or ugliness sometimes found in lesser-quality LDCs. I would confidently put this mic overhead all styles of drum performance & expect greatness.
