Quik Shade Expedition Instant Canopy

Described as a 10'x10' canopy, but it is actually 8'x8' on bottom of legsand top is 7'8"x7'8". I set it up next to my old 10×10 canopy. A picture is worth a thousand words. Very unhappy.

Gave it 3 stars due to the fact it ripped on first use and dealing with the "warranty" was a joke. Bravo asked for multiple pictures, a copy of my receipt (which the information was entered from when I completed the warranty registration) and an explanation of what caused the rip. It just so happened it was raining out which was the reason I had the canopy up. Bravo wanted to reject my warranty claim because they saw the frame was wet in the picture despite the rain had absolutely nothing to do with the reason it ripped. Rather than getting a free replacement as the warranty states they semi denied my claim and made me pay for shipping, which was extremely highly priced. And of course they didn't have the original cover color so I got to use my orange canopy for a total of 1.5 hrs and am now stuck with blue. Kind of struck me as odd that the manufacturer didn't have a direct replacement for a product they still produce and sell. FOR THOSE WONDERING, BRAVO SPECIFICALLY STATES (I FOUND OUT AFTER THE FACT) THIS CANOPY IS NOT RATED TO BE USED IN RAIN, IT'S SIMPLE A SUN SHADE. BRAVO WILL FIGHT YOU IF YOU TELL THEM IT WAS USED IN THE RAIN AND SOMETHING HAPPENED TO CAUSE A WARRANTY CLAIM.

0 stars. I purchased this item in August 2016, used it for one week then put it in storage (inside my house). June 2017 I started using it again for the last two weeks. The very last time we set it up, in two areas the metal has broken. We were not rough with it, we did not force anything, and I always cleaned and kept in great condition after every use. So I contacted the manufacturer "Bravo Sports" they said the item is under a one-year warranty, but is not covered if damaged during set up/take down. This item has only been used for a total of three weeks in its "less than one year lifespan". This is a very poor quality built product. I would understand more if it was something I did, but trust me, I would not be wasting my time writing this bad review if it was. Poor poor quality and if I had known how cheaply built this was I never would have purchased this item.

Listing states that top is 300 denier, but when received the product it was very thin and even the label on the bag States 150 denier.... listing also says that the bag is 600 denier, not sure about that, as it has torn several directions already. As picture shows listing States it will shade 8 to 12 people. LOL, only if you stack them on top of each other. When I received the product the bag States it will only hold six people... this is a 10 by 10 SLANT LEG which means the actual shade is a bit less of an 8 by 8. Listing states it has a "sturdy " frame, but when you lift two corners opposite each other to move this, the other two corners sag down and droop pretty bad almost to the point of bending the top frame from its own weight. Once the canopy is assembled over the top and velcro is position perfectly, and the top is completely expanded, it seems to be a bit sturdier. I don't see anything special about this top, just seems to be average lightweight quality pop-up canopy. It would help if they we're honest and weren't advertising in the listing more than it was. I do not believe that it has the quality of the current asking price of around one hundred, as you can get much more at that price point. I purchased this item because I needed it to cover some DJ equipment for a block party, thought it was going to be sunny turned out we had about 2 inches rain in about a two hours! And I did not know if this item was waterproof but it turned out to be actually 99% waterproof only a few little drips came through the seams. So I would highly recommend this product, it's very easy to assemble and the fabric withstood two hours of heavy downpour rain which kept my very expensive DJ equipment dry.

This is the flimsiest pop-up tent I've ever bought! The canopy (always the part that wears out) is made of thin fabric that I doubt will hold up for long. On top of that, only three of the four the corners attach to the frame by one small piece of velcro. One corner has no velcro or anything else to hold it to the frame! Nothing! There are no ties in the middle or anywhere else on the canopy to hold it to the frame. The first gust of wind will rip the canopy right off the frame. I'm very disappointed! I've paid a similar price for pop-up tents that were much better constructed that this one.

Easy One Person Set-upEarly June, I researched online before purchasing via Amazon Prime at around sixty bucks and have used this canopy every Saturday rain or shine and it is still going great. The set-up is so easy for one person that when others try to help they complicate the issue. I'm a petite, senior gal and have my own way of partially assembling it WITHOUT EXTENDING LEGS to full height THEN put the orange canopy on and THEN extend legs to full height.People tend to come over and help using brute force rather than listening to me about the sliding, and clipping into the holes on the legs. It's then I'm afraid they'll break it or tear it. I use weights to hold it down rather than stake it down. So many people have stopped, admired, asked questions etc about set-up, care, usage, suggestions. It's great for tailgating, kids' sporting events ... you do have to move seating to follow the sun and keep shaded.I WAS the only one at neighborhood garage sales with a canopy. Now I'm one of 5 of varying sizes and brands. Some are in backyards covering sand boxes for kids and splash pools for them too. I have ordered a green one for family outdoor activities.

Bought for indoor use so meets my needs. Light duty but we'll built.
