Does not at all do what you would expect, but may still have 'some' use.
The media could not be loaded. The frequency control acts as a volume control, not a low pass filter so I don't understand what the '40Hz' and '150Hz' markings are supposed to represent. I output a signal with a 30Hz sine and a quiet 5KHz sine test tone from a PC connected to an amplifier.Turning down the potentiometer to 40Hz results in no signal output at all, the long throw drivers connected to an amplifier on the output of the 'bass control' do not move at all. This is regardless of the 'gain' control position, at '0dB' or '-12dB' there is no bass tone playing with the frequency control set to what's demarcated at '40Hz'. Moving the frequency knob ever so slightly (maybe 50Hz?) results in a tiny amount of the 30Hz tone coming through, but the 5KHz tone is just as audible, bringing the frequency control up results in both tones getting louder, more movement from the drivers but also much more of the high tone.By adjusting the gain control towards the midway point between -12dB and 0dB and turning frequency control all the way towards the 150Hz mark I was able to get rid of most of the 5KHz sine but still get a fair amount of the 30Hz sine, however this is not useful for my purposes. I wanted a crossover that would allow me adjust the low frequency cutoff point, but the frequency knob does not appear to adjust the LFE crossover point at all, and seems to be just a volume control, with the gain knob being more of the same.

It didn't work for me
It simply didn't work for me. It was to connect my sub phono out from my AV amp to my haptic vibrator, and nothing happened. To be fair that is not a car.An active converter is working nicely.
