Bought this as our other single correction level digital bark collar for our jack russel/doxie mix just wasn't cutting it anymore, he would ignore its corrections. We thought having the 3 levels would be just what he needed, so we started it off with a good fitting and then set it to the lowest setting. We also bought one for our new husky/shepherd/lab mix. Both dogs immediately started getting false readings just walking around. Freaked them out, rightfully so.We turned them off and rechecked it all. Fittings were perfect, no other collars on, changed out the contact points just in case. Immediately happened again. I would understand it might being a defect if it was just one collar, but when both do it on both dogs it is not the collar for us and we sent them back. Looking for alternatives now.

Got this for a friend, and she cannot BELIEVE the different it has made in her house! She has three dogs, one of whom barks ALL THE TIME, and riles up the other two and THEY start barking. She had a PetSmart no-bark collar, but it broke after a few months. This one is working AMAZING! She said her house is SO much quieter, and everyone is just in a better mood because they're not constantly yelling at their dogs to stop barking. It really has improved their quality of life. Great product, showed up on time, and works exactly as advertised! Will definitely recommend!

Damn thing worked perfectly. As soon as I got it, I put the batteries in and tested it on my finger tips so I could feel what my dog would feel. Apparently it was automatically set to the highest output and left a mark on both finger tips. It's a little weird to figure out exactly what you've got it set on, but some playing around and subsequent testing on your fingers will help you get the hang of it. On the lowest setting, it felt similar to sticking your tongue on a 9-volt battery when we were kids. After about 3 days my dog stopped barking in her kennel, and after about a week I took the batteries out of it and just put it on her dead while she was kenneled during the day.

This device works very well to positively reinforce behavior modification. I think there needs to be more pet owner education as to the nature of a tool like this and how to incorporate it appropriately into pet training. This is NOT a tool that you simply put on a dog and leave them be, and they will magically one day stop barking. This tool requires pet owners to be aware of their pets' behavior patterns and how to use this to adequately modify the negative behavior such as in this case, excessive barking.After using this with my small dog (about 15 pounds) for the last couple of months, I can see a vast improvement in his barking habits. Like I said, it requires a lot of owner interaction while using this tool, and thats what it took for us the first few weeks using this tool so as to help our pup acclimate to the nature of this collar.

We are very happy. We rehomed our dog and knew she was shock trained but hated the idea of zapping her. Well, we broke down and bought this one. I like that you have to use a remote to activate the collar because I don't want to train our dog to never bark. We have found the beep setting to be all the deterrent we need. I also like that with this on, if she bolts out the door and loses herself in scent hunting, I can beep the collar and she runs right back. No more calling her name over an over.

very easy to use and program..it lets the dog bark once or twice but then cuts it off. the shock is quite jolting to my little maltese so I am not sure of the "humane aspect" but I have to admit it DOES intimidate him enough now that he is conscious of the collar being on and what its purpose is.

I bought three of these and out of three one works correctly, the other two you have to mess with and sometimes you can get them to work. The one that works correctly is great, so that is why I gave a its ok review. I looked online to see if I was doing something wrong and that was no help. I wanted to get two more, but now they are not available.

A great static correction collar! Came with 2 different length prongs for short and long hair dogs. Has an on/off switch. It's lightweight, water resistant and works as well as I could hope for.I highly recommend this collar if you're in the market for a non-remote controlled type of static correction collar. Which is my personal preference. I don't use it for any other type of behavior correction except aggressive and constant barking. My dog is too smart (a curse and a blessing). I don't want him to associate the shock with the remote in my hand. Which I'm nearly positive he would.
