I've had a beard since, well... I don't even remember the last time I was clean shaved. I've seen beard straighteners all over Amazon and was skeptical until I saw someomr I follow on social media use one. Now I use it pretty much daily.I don't have a particularly long beard, but it is very thick, curly, and bushy so the sides grow outward more than down. I found that this straighener helps manage my beards appearance. It's not a miracle tool, but it does work to an extent for my problematic beard hair. I also use it on my head hair as well because it starts to get curly and unruly as it gets longer so it's actually a 2-in-1.Always use on a clean beard without any product in except pure beard oil. Don't use beard balms before using the straightener because some balms contain wax. You can use whatever styling product you like afterwards.One big downfall is that it doesn't seem to have an auto off or timer feature. I accidentally left it on the counter after using it and walked away without unplugging it or turning it off. It was still on when I came back so I always make certain that I unplug it after each use. Even when I doubt myself, I always go back and make sure I unplugged it

I initially bought this when I had short hair because other heat brushes were just too large. It worked well enough but I only got to use it a handful of times. My hair grew too fast to keep using it. I'll keep it stored for a different use in the future.

I bought this for my husbands beard. For the most part, it does a decent job, but there are features both he and I dislike on it.First, the power button on it is inconveniently placed on the handle, right where your hand can click it on an off while you are using it. It’s great that it’s a simple press of a button to turn on and off. But, it absolutely drives he and I both nuts that it is placed where it is.Secondly, the bristles on the unit are not really bristles. They are more like raised plastic and therefore it doesn’t have any kind of grab to it for straightening and drying the beard. It requires a substantial amount of hand work with your other hand to pull the beard hair out and hold the hair up against the unit to dry and straighten.Finally, for bigger handed people/men, using this on the beard can be interesting. It is compact so it travels and stores well when not in use. However, if you have big hands/wide palms, it is not the easiest thing to use.

I have a more expensive "Chi" hair straightener that I used for the curly, sometimes unruly hair on my head, and while it does it great job with my hair, it simply isn't usable on my facial hair. I had seen advertisements for beard straighteners and largely ignored them or considered them click bait. Eventually, I was gifted the following item and was very pleased with the results on my beard. Interesting enough, I started to use this to "comb down" certain cow licks at the back of my head and find that I hardly pull out the "Chi" anymore. In hindsight, this is probably the only "hair" straightener I need and would return the "Chi" if i could.

I have coarse, curly hair and not that long of a beard, and this worked great! Heated up in no time and in five minutes, it straightened right out!

This straightener just arrived today. Took it out of the package, plugged it in and 10-15 minutes later my beard looks awesome. I really needed something to tame this beast of a beard. It only took that long because of all the knots. Ouch. I'd say its small enough to bring on a trip easily, and the cord is plenty long.

It heats up pretty fast. Takes about 5 minutes to get my beard as straight as can be. It does the job.
