96 oz of finger panting goodness!
When I saw this on Amazon I misread this product as being six containers of paint totaling 16 oz; I assumed six containers of a bit over 3 oz per container. I was incorrect. This is six containers of 16 oz per container for a total of 96 oz of finger paint. You get 16 oz each of red, green, blue, yellow, brown, and black. The paints are very smooth with saturated pigments and a very light, very inoffensive odor, reminiscent of the smell of weak Elmer's glue. Each container is topped with a screw-on cap. The opening is large enough for a small hand to fit all the way in but unless you really enjoy cleaning up finger paints this probably isn't the best way to let the kids use the paints. The bottles themselves are of sturdy plastic and are obviously capable of surviving a lot of abuse. We had another brand of finger paint (unfortunately I forget the manufacturer's name) that was almost gelatinous with translucent colors, sort of like honey but without the stickiness. The Color Splash paints are very opaque (like tempra paint) with a consistency like pudding. The paints dry to an eggshell finish and doesn't easily flake (unless it's been caked on) from butcher paper, cardboard, and poster board. The containers identify the contents as being washable; this is mostly true. My daughter had herself a good ol' time with these while wearing a white cotton onesie. All of the colors except black washed out in a normal machine wash. The only way we could remove the black was to bleach it out with undiluted bleach, and even then there were still some visible spots. Therefore it's a good idea to use a smock and/or lay in a supply of bleach if you intend on using the black paint. On the other hand, all six colors easily washed off skin, table and floor with regular soap and water.TIP: I went to a local craft store and picked up half a dozen liquid soap dispenser pumps for about a buck apiece. After cutting a hole into each lid and mounting the dispenser pumps, I'm able to give my daughter a quick palette of whatever colors she wants in seconds, without opening the containers. When she gets older she'll be able to do this herself too, thus saving the potential "Daddy, I dropped the bottle of paint!" cries.

Exactly as Advertised
Purchased this set in April of 2011, for the use of my church's sunday school program. There's really not all that much to say about finger paints, I don't think any great classical works of art have been produced with them, but the kids really get a kick out of the bright colours and the mess. These were reasonably priced, lasted decently, and had good, bright colours. Overall I would say they're a good value for the money.I will likely be ordering another set (the current bottles are down to just the last few gloops in the bottom) as soon as they come back into stock.

Bright colors, cleans up easily. Love it!
I bought these paints for my son's birthday party. We were doing an outdoor thing with swimsuits and sprinklers. I thought fingerpainting fit nicely. The kids loved it!! The paints are a nice thickness. The colors come out nice and bright on the paper. They do take quite a while to dry, especially when you have a 2 year old applying it in globs. One of my son's friends decided not to paint the paper but paint himself instead, pretty much head to toe. I think his parents were a little skeptical that it was going to wash off, but a quick wipe and rinse and he was squeaky clean. I was pretty shocked actually. His white blonde hair wasn't stained at all, and his shorts cleaned out perfectly. We're VERY happy with these paints and would buy them again in a heartbeat.

Great finger paints
I purchased these paints for my grandson's 3rd birthday. My daughter was hopeful that playing with the finger paints would help to overcome his refusal to touch or eat anything wet and/or slippery. He took to the finger paints right away and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Time will tell whether or not the original goal is accomplished, but the paints are a huge hit.

Lots of paint...does stain clothes sometime.
My children and I loved getting a bunch of paint to play with....quantity-wise, it's great. It did not wash out of some clothing it got on...including my white sweater. (Why was I wearing a white sweater during a paint session?........silly.)

Order it directly from S&S
I read a review stating that shipping through S&S was horrible. I was doing some research and decided to order it through S&S website. I was surprised to find different colors and quantities. I ordered it on a Sunday and they provided me with a fedex tracking number on Tuesday. It is due for delivery on Saturday. Not bad. Also, it seems a tad cheaper to order it through them directly. Don't be put off with the $9 shipping charge. It still is a good value if you purchase the 16OZ bottles.

Good product, Don't buy from S&S Worldwide!
I wanted to have a big supply of fingerpaint for my son for the summer. I ordered this paint from S&S Worldwide more than 15 days ago and I am still waiting for it. At this rate the summer will be over before we receive the fingerpaint. I read other costumers had the same problem with this seller more than two years ago! so I don't think their costumer service has improved at all. Look for other venues to buy this product.
