Fabulous alternative to buying the $150+ Fleeceworks pad. I'm a saddle fitter and use these to help demos fit client horses during appointments, and recommend this pad to trainers to allow their saddle to fit many different horses. Unlike Fleeceworks, they come WITH the shims in 3 different thicknesses. Love the color options for the eventing crowd. And, who really needs sheepskin if your saddle is properly fitted?? Thanks for offering this functional, vital pad for such a great price!

Fantastic!!! My gelding has some pretty drastic differences between left and right shoulders; saddle fit has been absolute hell. This pad has completely solved the fit issues!!! There are four pockets, two front and two back. The shims included are 4 front and 4 rear, of 2 different thicknesses. The shims are a simple foam, very easy to switch in and out and can be hosed off if needed. The pad itself is machine washable. All around this is a great deal, the price cannot be beat. For the first time ever, his saddle sits level, and I am no longer riding crooked. His back soreness has gone away, and I am finally able to put real work into strengthening his back and shoulder muscles. This pad has saved my horse's riding career.

First, this pad is long enough to fit under my 18" dressage saddle, which many corrective pads come up a little short. I really like all the options. There are multiple shims in each pocket, so I can adjust how much padding is needed. Both of my horses take a wide tree saddle, but my 25 year old thoroughbred has some hollowing on either side of his withers which need a little padding, and my paint horse is a little downhill, so this pad allows me to adjust the saddle perfectly for each of their issues. I like it so much I'm ordering another one so that I can have a set pad for each horse. This pad is a must-have if you ride multiple horses with one saddle.

So happy to have found a reasonably priced shim-able half-pad that fits under my 18.5" dressage saddle with room to spare. Super quality, I've always loved ECP's products and am happy to have found this. The navy is a gorgeous shade of blue, and the shims are perfect for when I have slight saddle fit issues due to the changes in my horse's back as training progresses. Would recommend to anyone who can't justify spending $200+ on a pad, but wants all the quality, durability, and adjust-ability.

I’m not really happy with this product. I’ve given it a few months of use and I think I will be replacing this with a different half pad. The foam inserts are super cheap and offer little to no support. I’ve had better luck buying other foam shims and inserting those into the pockets. The pockets for the shims don’t stay closed anymore as the Velcro is super cheap and rips off. The pad seems to always slip to one side no matter how many times I’ve tried to rearrange the shims, straighten it under saddle, etc. There’s no point in using the Velcro straps because it pulls the half pad too far forward, making the back of my 17.5” saddle hang off. I recommend spending a little more money and sacrificing the color choice for a better product.

Great half pad! Dense quality cotton with quality stitching that I expect will hold up well. Three shims per pocket (Four pockets total; two shoulder and two seat/back) that are thin but effective in helping make temporary saddle fit adjustments. What a world of difference to have a balanced saddle again! Horse feels better, and my position problems were fixed instantly. Highly recommend this product. Looks good under dressage saddle and fits under my 17.5" seat Trilogy saddle very well. I like the all-cotton option; never could figure out why I spent so much more money on a sheepskin pad when the sheepskin sits on top of the saddle pad anyway. Also, I prefer the lower profile look of a non-rolled half pad. If you have young horses, or horses that are just back to work after lay-ups, this is a wonderful tool to use while your horses build back muscle and change their shapes.

Very inexpensive solution to a common problem. My AQHA mare is 13, withers full quarter horse bars & little hollow on her back where she looks mildly swayback.Instantly felt a difference sitting in the saddle as well as how freely she moved out.I attached a picture so you can see its hardly visible. (White fabric under back of saddle)

Great pad. It was a lot cheaper than other pass out there. I've never owned one of those more expensive ones so I don't know what I'm missing, just FYI. But this one is great. The memory foam shims weren't sufficient for my horse's needs so I purchased a cheap yoga mat and cut it up to fit the pad and my horse as needed. Worked great
