I’ve been playing this almost daily for three years and love it- you can make up as many characters as you want in career mode but each career stays separate to the others- you can download any real life player you want from the community because most are on there or you can make your own real life player up if you want who will then be available to play against in tournaments in career modes- as you increase your character’s skills you can increase the difficulty level for more competitive gameplay as it does get easier to win as you increase your ranking so the enjoyment is endless!

This is the best tennis game since top spin. The first AO game was pretty decent but it seems like the developers have listened to people when making this. There's cut scenes of press conferences and your agent between some matches when you get to better tournaments and get higher in the rankings. It starts with your uncle or dad then you move onto an agent. But depending if you're a saint or sinner on court depends how long it takes you to get your agent. You get better sponsors as the game progresses. You also get the chance to compete at the Olympic tennis tournament in Tokyo 2020. Only downside for me is licensing for the 3 other slams.

I was delighted to find this, given the huge lack of proper tennis games for PS4 (there weren't any prior to 2018 and only one up until 2020).The control system isn't easy to master once you get beyond rookie mode but then that does reward practice, just like tennis itself, and even playing badly is still fun (at least so far. If I don't improve then I may reconsider that.) The ability to design and your own players and even logos and venues is great, and one of the features that I love about the game. I am aware that there are endless reviews whining "it hasn't got Federer", but really, does that matter? It's got a load of other really good players, including Nadal and Barty, and lots of the more interesting players from the circuit such as Stan Wawrinka, Nick Kyrgios and Johanna Konta (complete with her slow-motion serve.) I think it's a good selection of characters, and if someone isn't there, guess what - you can download them from the database of customised players created by the community, or even have a go at making them yourself! (There are some really good community-made players out there, but some seriously hilariously bad ones too, especially if you're looking for Bjorn Borg).There are loads of nice little touches like being able to control how your player reacts to a shot, which makes me feel like I can add some personality. It would be even better if it allowed Kyrgios to start baiting Wawrinka or smashing his racquet, or make every match against Isner go on for days, but I guess there are limits! One thing I haven't seen mentioned in any reviews is that post-match, you can replay any point with a moveable camera and even in slow motion.There are one or two niggles preventing me from giving five stars - sometimes your player will just refuse to move for no apparent reason, and the step in difficulty between rookie and the next step up (amateur) is really a bigger jump than it should be. But overall, a fun game that I see myself getting very immersed in.

Wow what a great tennis sim the best yet on ps4! After more updates this game is only going to get even better addictive gameplay and career mode it will have you hooked for hours 10/10 :)
