"I bought this globe for my two young twins (a boy and a girl), 4 years old. It is a big hit with them--with the illumination, it works as a night light and they also like to look at the animals and boats on the globe. It has helped them get a feel for basic geography, like where we are located in relation to the world and also the different continents. As they get older the other information on the globe will become clearer to them. If I had a complaint it is that I wish it came in a slightly larger size, as it can be hard for both of them to look at it simultaneously, but it appears that nobody makes globes for kids any bigger than 10 inches. Recommended."

I bought this product for over 60 dollars. Once you see it, you'll know that it's value is definitely much closer to 20 dollars. It does look sort of pretty when it's lit up in the dark, but in the cold light of day, it looks pretty cheap looking.
