Definitely the best Audio Interface I could ever ask for
I got this interface so that I could have my XLR microphone and my audiophile grade headphones all plugged in on one device so that I could cut down on clutter, and it absolutely fills that role. I was originally put off by the price, considering I had an Audient ID14MK2 which was already 95% of what I needed for a smidge over 3x less. However, this audio interface is so much more worth it. There are so many things you can do with this interface that I would never need, but I am so happy that I can do them.EQ was one of the things I couldnt do before and am tremendously excited that is now a possibility, thats both on the headphone end and on the microphone end. I have always EQ'd my headphones, so this was super nice to have EQ for both my input and output with just one software. Also, the onboard controls are honestly so nice to have with the interface. One of the big selling points for me is that there is pretty much a way to do everything that you can do with the software, on the device itself. The small catch is that it can be a little tricky to remember or learn the controls, but there is an entire 200 page manual sent with the device that contains the answer to literally any question you could possibly have about the device.I sometimes feel like it was an unnecessary purchase or maybe it was a bit too overkill but I wouldn't have it any other way and Im confident that I wont need another audio interface or any other audio device for decades to come.

Great Sounding Portable Interface with 4 Inputs
I have been a Focusrite user since the Scarlett first gen came out. I then purchased a gen 3 and later a Clarett 2pre and a Clarett+ 2pre. The Clarett was really nice, but I had issues with the drivers and I also needed 4 inputs for use with my Fractal Audio FM3. The Babyface is much more expensive, but well worth it. There is also a bit of a learning curve as it's not as straight forward as the focusrite products. Give it a shot, you will not be disappointed. The sound is incredible both through the Line outs and the Headphone outs.

It is difficult to configure, there is a fairly long learning curve, it is not very intuitive to use, the quality is very good but the price is quite high. Although it has two headphone outputs, the routed audio is the same, that is, it cannot be separated, you cannot control the headphone volume independently of the other, it is the same signal on two outputs, since that option is only available on the another model that is more expensive.

Using live with iPad Pro 11 2018
I was using an XR18 but wanted to downsize my set up for solo vocal and guitar running backing tracks. I've used it for once so far, but I can tell you that it sounds so much cleaner in addition to having a tiny footprint. It doesn't have the audio routing or the built in effects of the XR18, but I can make it work with my iPad Pro 11 2018 using plugins for my needs. My rack case is now a 3U versus a 5U with the XR. I'll update in a week.

Best audio interface under $1000 USD
This small block of aluminum is a must-have for serious home studios. Great drivers, great preamps and converters that are a cut above what you find in the SSL2 and other lesser interfaces that use generic components. If you're using a high end mic, you'd better be using an interface that's just as good, or that mic is wasted.

Terrible product Do Not Buy It
I spent three days to figure out the headphone to work it never worked. I installed the right driver and everything went smoothly and perfectly BUT the Totalmix fx doesn’t work at all. I can’t get do anything with the setting, output and input works perfectly. But headphones output never worked for me. After contacting to customer service I still haven’t heard all I heard was an automated message. No help. All I could do is get rid of this piece of trash. Returning is only solution. It is wast of time and $1100.

Months update. I went from Audient to SSL 2 to this and I LOVE RME!
Wow. What an upgrade from Audient and SSL 2. RME Babyface pro FS have insanely clean preamps. I don’t even use my focusrite ISA one anymore because these preamps are so clean and clear. Everyone says it felt like a blanket got lifted…well..they are right. After a few months I had to still give it a try and I conclude that I am finally a huge fan of RME. The price may be high but it was well worth it over the SSL2 and Audient ID 22.Thank you RME! You truly make amazing high quality products! 🙏

Stopped working - over heated
After about a month of using this thing I was impressed until i noticed when I used it for longer sessions of mixing I’d noticed clipping coming from the audio coming from speakers. And then this interface just shut off and would not come back on until the next day. However when it came back on it would not connect to my MAC no matter what I did.
