This is a kids book with great pictures and a couple of short paragraphs on each page. Very easy to read but each of those paragraphs is full of good information. They describe the fish to you, tell you where it likes to hand out in the water, what kind of bait to use and if it hangs out in schools. What more does a person need to fish? It also has a page that shows you how to bait your hook. It is a good kids book but as a novice fisher person I found it very interesting. Great book.

I am always giving my grandchildren books. Sometimes they aren't really excited about getting another book. My 7 year old grandson LOVES to fish so I got him this book. He absolutely loved it and sat down immediately to study it. I'm hoping there is a similar book for saltwater fishing!

Got this for my 6 year old nephew who just started fishing. It's his favorite book and he reads it with his dad every single night. It's like his bedtime story.

If you enjoy silly jokes on every corner of the page, and if you enjoy fishing, this book will fit you. If you are expecting a scholarly tome helping you to become a successful fisherman, this book does not fit you.

This is a great book for my little fishermen. The book is full of great tip and my son's like to look threw the pages like a search and find to find the little extras that are in the artwork. I really love this book.

Excellent book and one of a set (not boxed, however)! Buck Wilder knows how to keep kids attention and teach them at the same time and always with a bit of humor! Highly recommend! Our grands, from age 7 to 14, thoroughly enjoy these great books!

I bought this for my son for his birthday. He is obsessed with fishing and LOVES this book. The pages are so colorful and there are all kinds of neat hidden little words all over the drawings. He is six years old and it is one of the few books he will actually sit down with on his own!
