The product was great in that it prevented getting scratched, bitten or escape while trying to wash a disagreeable feline. However depending on size of your hands there was some maneuverability with lathering soap through the crate spaces. I have cats sized between petite and the size of a small dog, so I ordered the large. Note that an average size cat can fully turn around in the large crate, but stays very reasonably controlled to prevent injury while grooming. I would strongly recommend selling or purchasing this item with a rubber bristled pet grooming tool,sized appropriately for this crate. I have a standard sized grooming tool for our dog, which although was able to be used was a bit bulky. I have some cats that although usually quite gentle and loving, when you try to groom them with soap and water turn into man-eaters, this crate resolved that issue. I also found that it was constructed much better quality than I had anticipated. It's a bit pricey upfront, but is a good investment based on your personal needs with grooming your animals.
